undergroundjohnny Hi. I love it. Easy to use and inspriring sounds. There is a place for mellotron sounds in nearly every song. I use it for pop/rock and electronic music as weil.

Run it through an effects amp. Without reverb the Mellotron sounds dorky. I would know. 4 year Mellotron M4000-D Master. Yes, there are 10,000 preset combinations included with two additional sound cards available. The possibilities are endless.

When I use it in a song production I always use Reverb of course. That’s where the real magic happens. In this Video I wanted to show the naked device only.

Hallo, warum hast du dich für das M4000D Mini und nicht das M4000D entschieden?

Hi, bei mir war es eine Preisfrage. das Mini ist eben deutlich günstiger als der große Bruder. Der große Bruder hat noch Polyphonen Aftertouch und eine Holztastatur, das ist natürlich fürs Spielgefühl nochmal etwas geiler. Aber ich bin mit dem Mini sehr zufrieden. Habe es bisher auch nur im Studio eingesetzt.

@@tristanblaskowitz Danke für die Rückmeldung. Hinsichtlich Größe und Gewicht finde ich das Mini etwas angenehmer, leider hat sich der Preis vor Kurzem erhöht.

Does the transpose function in the menu allow to transpose the whole instrument in semitone steps ?

Yes, you can change the Pitch knob to a semitone step behaviour.

Thank you! But I don't mean the pitch knob. I just want to transpose the whole instrument all the time (i.e. pressing an E on the keyboard will result in a D coming out of the audio output)@@tristanblaskowitz

@@stereonsofficial5732 Oh I see. I don't think this is possible, I haven't found it in the menu. But maybe I have to take a deeper look. But you could use a MIDI keyboard and transpose that and play the mellotron via an external keyboard.

Why not? 80 million Germans and lots of Swiss, Austrian, Italian, Belgian, Liechentsteiner and French people also speak native or secondary native German. And then there's millions who speak it, because they learned it, because it is a very similar language to their own language or they wanted to learn it because technical documents mostly are in German. Or just because it is just such a great language, which is the reason why I do speak German. And no, I don't live in Germany and am not a German.
