the thing i love about tristania is how beautiful the atmospheres of the music is. they kinda lost it with their recent stuff...but Widow's Weeds, Beyond the Veil, and World of Glass are extroradinary. Also, their lyrics are so poetic and beautiful...sometimes reminding me of Edgar Allen Poe...with their own style. Vibeke is unique...very distinct and Morten kicks ass

I think the world of glass is the best album they ever made I don’t like the older stuff as much because that beautiful voice was not there to balance it out, i’m not a 100% growl guy, I need that beautiful voice to balance out and blend with it the amount of growl tristania does i can tolerate , atleast on the word of glass album

I totally agree with you My favourite album is Beyond the Veil because of that atmosphere that maybe is not so present in Illumination, but I still like it. But now I think they won't be able to create that atmosphere anymore, Vibeke was so magic and dark at stage... T_T

@gotblu2 It was obviously Einar and Anders, at least if Morten is telling the truth. He said those 2 wanted to take over the songwriting in the band, which E and A did, and Østen didn't become a full member either until a while afterwards. Morten also stayed friends with Kenneth and Rune... As for Vibeke... Maybe some love drama? There's almost always something like that in bands with different genders, I guarantee you. xD
