I had a $500 credit at a retailer. They had a 20g Setter with a small dent in wood of stock from factory selling for $399. We call it our “new shooter” in our family although my wife calls it “hers” when she’s busting clays with it. Had to return to US factory twice for broken firing pin. Barrell length is only 26”. I don’t like but new shooters build confidence with lighter tool. Easy to remember it's a

I have 20ga Setter for close to 5yrs now and haven’t had a problem. I use it for bird hunting so my round count is not high. It’s a decent shotgun for hunting and not getting worried about if it gets scratched up because that high gloss finish will chip if you look at it wrong.

I’ve been using this shotgun for about 7.5ish years now for trap shooting and it’s phenomenal, with this gun I took my average from 17-18 to 20-21 out of 25. However the low weight and the rock solid but pad has always been a big issue, it beats the hell out of your shoulder and on days where I’m sometimes shooting 100-200 clays a day, that gets to be one sore shoulder.

Mine has held up fine. I have about 1,000 rounds through it. I use it for clays and I am fine fine with it. Owned it for 3 years. I was just getting into clay shooting and didn't want to spend $1,000 + for something that would just sit in my locker. I am definitely ready to move on, so I am saving up for a Browning. I will save this for pheasant, dove, and squirrel hunting.

Biggest issue I had with mine was the barely selector/safety being stiff or harder to take off safe. Gave me a little issue lining up with ducks when I pulled up to shoot.

I had a tristar tt15 sporting and recoil was a bit harsh on it especially after a hundred shells. I got a viper g2 sporting that has over 4000 shells through it without a hiccup. I shoot it well enough that I can't justify a more expensive semiauto. I love the a400 I had just didn't like the blue receiver so I got rid of it.

I've been shooting my 28 Gauge TriStar Setter ST at skeet and Wheelybird thrown clays or about 2 years now. My only complaints are stiff triggers and a stiff barrel selector/safety switch. I've done some Rabbit and Pheasant hunting with it, and for field use in the winter the trigger guard is too small for gloved hands. Other than that it shoots smack to point of aim from both (highly regulated) barrels, and is nearly spot on 50/50 in distribution at the patterning board. That may not suit those who prefer something more like 70/30. Overall I'm well pleased with mine.

I've had a TriStar Hunter for going on 6 years. I paid less than $400. I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds of trap (mostly), skeet, and sporting clays. I broke 2 firing pins under warranty and the forearm split in two last spring. I bought a new forearm and it is back in service although not as much since I bought a Cynergy. I have a Pointer Acrius in 20ga. It came with 5 extended choke tubes. $350 out the door. I’ve had it for 3 years now, at least 1,000 rounds through it with no issues. I pulled it out for RSO inspection where I shoot clays last weekend and the RSO says “oh, nice.”. Some older fella walking the range with his 12ga Silver Pigeon also commented on it. Also a tad forward heavy, but not bad at all. I love it for the price point. I told my wife if it ever craps out on me, for the cost it will make a nice wall decoration. 😂

You do realize that is the same as the Mossberg silver reserve that is made on the same factory in Turkey? You are shooting the same gun and giving different remarks about it. It just has someone else’s brand stamped on it. There are several of these same O/U’s with different names but are the same gun. Just like the Mossberg, the receivers are aluminum with a steel breech plate. It’s look up the stinkin stats dude. Just sayin. Read the manual. It’s all in there. You are supposed to be a pro and you have yet to read the operators manual which would keep you from looking like a total dunce head on here. Second time now and you don’t even know it’s just the Mossberg with someone else’s name stamped on it. Everything is exactly the same. Other than some laser engraving.

I have the Walmart model in 20 gauge that I have had about 15 months, and I bought the Trident model in 12 gauge about 6 months ago. I have been happy with them. I shoot 50 rounds each weekend. The 20 is so fast to bring up and swing. The 12 is also easy to swing. I did have a nut come loose in my 20 that would randomly cause a hammer to not work. I lost the nut when I opened the gun up. I sent an email and got a quick response with a promise to send a replacement. Shipping took 3 weeks, but I got what I needed. I don't have the fanciest gun at the club, but it works great for me.
