when i was a budding mechanic i had cheap tools and treated them as such. i abused them, threw them around, lost plenty too. when i wanted to be a professional i bought snap on tools. they were so expensive i treated them with respect, cleaned them, bought the proper tool for the job and most certainly made sure every single one was in its place at the end of the day. i recommend you get the most heavy duty tripod they make (like you have for the Lazer). that way you will most certainly never back over it again.

Well that wasn't to bad to fix. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would pay an HOA to be told what they can do to their own house, but to each their own i suppose. Don't understand why neighbors are concerned about what someone does on their property like complaining about you cutting the trees. I mean if they didn't want the trees cut they should have purchased the property themselves instead of complaining about what someone else was doing with their property. HOAs is where all the karens live! Im not sure you could pay me to live in one 😂

On another note, I am so glad HOAs hardly exist in the UK. I have yet to see any videos of people happy with an HOA they all seem to operated by power crazed Karen's making literally everyone's life a misery. At least the contractor didn't try & palm some odd the blame on you & he owned it.

Yeah that is right on the cameras. I’m really liking this DJI camera. GoPro is no match for this one. I agree on the HOAs, I’ve never heard anyone say they had a good one. They all have horror stories. He definitely excepted responsibility for it… Thanks

Thanks for the video Sam, wanted to ask if you can make a video on how you set up your topcon laser with the excavator. Every time you move back on the excavator, you readjust the mark? I'm wondering how you are digging so perfectly on grade and overall setup. I also heard you say maintaining slope, and you have the slope also calculated in the digging. I'm here thinking you want to grade to be as level as possible, why slope? . Thanks and God Bless.

@ You’re welcome. I’m the same way. I have a few friends that are willing to help for time-limited stuff on a casual basis; people I trust. My ideal setup is similar to yours. Mini ex with various attachments, compact track loader and the machine module with siteworks. The gnss antenna would be transferable between the two. I would add either a smart box blade or grader blade for the ctl. Keep on keepin’ on!
@tristardiggin

@musschootski Yeah that sounds like a good setup. I would like to have a box or blade with grade control on the skid steer, that would be nice…

Hmmm, I'm sure there is a reason, but why didn't you just leave the dirt in the hole, and fill in the old footprint?
@tristardiggin
@tristardiggin Күн бұрын
Hey James good question. The reason for not filling that in is for safety at this point. If a concrete truck were to get in the dug out area it could get stuck or even worse turn over if it was in an awkward position. The contractor wasn’t ready for me to spend the extra time with a compactor to get it packed in at this time. He just wanted to quickly get it ready for footers to be poured.

Funny about the tripod. Sam, do you run green or red fuel in your equipment. I use green because the red is not nearby and I don't qualify to have a farm Tax ID number. So, having red delivered is the same price as green. I was only curious. Nice video, Shannon
@tristardiggin
@tristardiggin 2 күн бұрын
Yeah Shannon those tripods are a pain! 🤣🤣🤣 I use red fuel and have it delivered. Generally red fuel is less expensive because there is less road tax on it. The farm exemption helps with sales tax. But, I don’t get to use my farm exemption because it’s for the excavation business. Thanks, Sam
