I've been a peace officer for 34 years, this fella has the best information I've ever seen from a solicitor, at quarterly residual trainings solicitors only want to sell you the most expensive, however this gentleman understands what a patrol first or second line supervisor require in an unmarked, as well as a covert/overt criminal investigator, or administrator CID/Patrol. I'm absolutely impressed with this, only because civilians now know how to ID Led police vehicles that work at hiding the COM/Siren on a hand mike, but hiding this ,while working out of a non-police looking vehicle would be perfect.

Yeah, sort of like the modern day "Fireball" of the 70's, 80's and early 90's.

I finally saw one of these for the first time today on a utility truck, dual color amber/green. I was very surprised at how bright it was, fantastic light output all the way around.

I have to see what the limitations are for the magnetic. It is interesting that it is more limited because it cost more just for the magnets, but limited capability. I wish they had a comparison list of of permanent vs magnetic mount capabilities. Looks great, but if I can switch patterns and with a dual color select the color mode and magnetic then it works for me.

That would make a great public safety vessel (paroling fireworks shows, assisting disabled vessels, etc) ID light since it can alternate red/amber. Most lights in service are the old-school PAR halogen bulb rotatory, one amber, one red.

Nice beacon. I'd really like to to see it built with either a circular or an eight segment lighthead to better simulate the pop-flash of a rotating beacon. It appears quite bright however.

These beacons look to be about the same size as the old "pancake" style halogen rotating lights.

@Tri-State Public Safety Does this do dual color simulated rotation? Like if I got a R/B, would it rotate red while the opposite head shows blue (so it would look like individual blue/red if you were stationary)?

Eric, I'm gathering that magnet mount wouldn't really stick on that aluminum bodied F-150 and you put it up there just for the video demo. Cool light.

Don't buy an aluminum vehicle if you're going to put a magnetic mount anything on it.

I have been wondering and thinking about this beacon. Thanks for a very informative video. I think it has helped make up my mind. Also, can you sync these with other low domes? I'm thinking about a pilot car with two low dome beacons.
@Commissar06176 жыл бұрын
yup. they can sync with any and all nroads and nforce products in a permanent mount

had a cord chewed off by some animal... do they sell replacement wires and plugs?
@Journeyman.717 жыл бұрын
Talking about the features that can only really be fully accessed in a permanent mount, they should make it in a mag-mount with cigar plug, but with a small in-line switch box allowing all features to be utilized!

secpd - I think 9 modes + flash patterns is just too much for a simple cigarette plug. The permanent mount model will have a cable with all the necessary wires thus allowing the user to use more functions. It's the same with mini bars.

Eric need some help here. If one is wanting to use 2 low dome nroads beacons placed side by side on a drill free mount for a current gen Ranger or Tacoma how do you accomplish this with the antenna thats physically located very close to the 3rd brake light? Thanks in advance.

We can’t say for sure, as we haven’t had either of those vehicles in the shop recently. However, a Ford ranger is listed on Acari’s website, so they clearly make one..

@@TriStatePublicSafety Thank you for the very prompt reply. Will for sure check out Acari's site.

I thought these ones had LEDs pointing straight up too? What were those yellow dots on top?

No, the nRoads Dual deck has the LED triangle on the top, and BTW, these (SoundOff) lights are made entirely in Michigan
