It’s such a bittersweet moment to watch a 15 year old sing such a HEAVY original song! It’s a FANTASTIC song and he’s a talented songwriter BUT to think that he’s feeling all those things at such a young age just breaks my heart. I wouldn’t wish such tough times one ANY child! Agree. Every time he comes on, my eyes swell with tears. Tears of joy for him but also tears for all he's been through at his age. Even when he smiles and speaks, I cry. Sleeping on sidewalks, not knowing what's to come day to day, playing for food money, wanting to take care of his mom. To still have so much love in his heart after going through so much pain. So many would have turned into victims of life BUT he choose to be a Survivor! To still be able to laugh and love.. I'm a forever fan of this child, and I can not wait to see him Dominate the country music world!!!!

You're right about that! This song is definitely a hit! I've never been a big country fan, but for a while now, it seems like country often isn't very different from folk music or southern rock back in the 60s or 70s lol.Plus there's a lot of crossover even with pop music. This child is such an awesome person.. his soul is full of goodness.. he was raised in the church.. he has the full support of his fellow students AND faculty and staff of his school.. the rest of our county has hopped on board the #TeamTriston train and are all supporting our Leroy Bear (school mascot!) from Leroy High School in Alabama! I’ve been going through a hard time recently and this song just made me feel so heard it literally brought tears to my eyes.
