Original owner of a 2016 here in the States. Will never sell it unless I get too old to hold it. Keep them stock and they are super reliable. Decent mileage and able to tour. At only only 509 lbs and low center of gravity they are very easy handling bikes. Just relax and take in the scenery is what I do. Thank you for the review.

I don't think keeping them stock is necessary. I bought a 2006 in 2019 and I have put 30,000 miles in 2 years with pods and full custom exhaust and a custom wiring harness and I have never had a problem doing 16 hour constant tours on mine and not once have I ever broken down.

@@MarshallSmith27 That's great to hear! I think I worded my entry wrong. I only meant to imply they are pretty well sorted out from the factory. I live in California and it is only a matter of time in this socialist utopia they think they are creating before emission inspection on bikes is required. Then everyone will have to put at least the catalyst exhaust back on every year. So I just leave mine stock and don't so I don't have to bother with it. I found out with miles, my exhaust "loosened up" and got deeper sounding. Safe riding my friend.

After putting up with the popping and banging for months I finally got round to stripping out the Air Injection System. What a difference. Almost all the popping and loud backfires have gone.

I have one of 2007. I am delighted with her. It is true that I have always liked V engines and their sound. But removing the musical theme, I would like it to sound more serious, the bike is very elegant and its elongated chassis gives it sensuality. It has details such as the gas tank whose gold line is hand painted.

I own a 2012, just love it. The only thing I would like to add is a tachometer.

Did you manage to get the LED for the indicator warning light sorted? I'd be interested to see how you changed the fittings for all the 'idiot' lights. I have a Speedmaster and could do with the same mod.
@rumblebumble11962 жыл бұрын
In a word.... "no" 🤣🤣... in fact I had several issues with the led idiot lights where one minute they worked then they didn't I have put them back to standard bulbs.. 🤔 will look again in the winter as I am too busy riding her atm! 😉🤣

I own a 2015. they are great bikes. they have however had the SH&T strangled out of them by EU controls..do what I did. get some louder pipes and a kit from Ultimate Twin Power and then head over to Triumph Twin Power and get their stage 3 tune. That will turn these bikes into an absolute gem.

I'm a bit worried now, I've just bought one and get it next week, I didn't realise that they pop and bang so much on over run, is there any way to stop that or reduce it?
@andrewsaville69752 жыл бұрын
Those are non-standard exhausts on the bike in the video, I've the standard type on mine and they don't pop at all. putting throatier, non-standard exhausts on is a very popular mod for America/Speedmasters and if yours come with non -standards and you decide that you don't like them you can always buy a set of standards second hand, they are fairly plentiful in the UK at least.

@@andrewsaville6975 Thank you Andrew, I have also seen that it is advisable to blank off the air injectors.
@rumblebumble11962 жыл бұрын
I am running Triumph TORS pipes and that is why the pops and bangs are a little loud 🤣. I recently did the air injection removal and the pops and bangs disappeared.... so I have now put it back on.... I love the attention 🤣🤣🤣
@jockofthebushveld299 Жыл бұрын
Yes they do pop a bit on the over run,it's the unburnt fuel in the Exaust being ignited by the Air injectors,if it is annoying there's a Video on Delboy's Garage where he shows you how to bypass and remove them,to Stop the Popping,it's an emissions thing.
