Had the pannier rails and the smaller rack on my street twin, when i lived in the UK, and can highly recommend them. Fair bit of warning, as stated on the TEC-Website: When you live on the continent, the costs for shipping and customs clearing make TEC-products quite expensive.

I have a T100 Gold Line like yours and am also considering adding Panniers, or saddle bags as we call them here in the States. And yeah, the Triumph stuff is a bit pricey for something I don't absolutely need. I think you've hit the mark with the TEC parts.

I have the same bike. I am about to fit upgraded rear shocks, (Ohlins in black/polished), and Motone pannier rails that look pretty much identical to the TEC rails. I already installed the Triumph rack stuff you mention and I agree the price if a bit hard to swallow. So, this is very helpful. I do like the fact that the OEM rack affair makes it very easy to take the actual rack portion on and off the bike. I installed chrome rack fittings but in retrospect I agree, black is the way to go. I may swap it all out for something black.
@TAYM4 ай бұрын
Thanks Rob 😁 yes, it would be handy to be able to remove the rack section . I think it being a T120 with more chrome/bare metal I would have gone chrome. 😁

Hi did you have any problems fitting the rear rack I have a t100 when I dropped the rear mudguard down to fit the rack .the mudguard won't line up the front bolt holes because the plastic seat cable release stay is hard up against the rack rail.did this happen to you . Regards Pete.
@TAYM3 ай бұрын
@@thelaterider.1046 thanks TLR 😁 I was a bit tricky but nothing to do with seat cable, more to do with getting the mudguard in the right position at the end closest to the front🤔 maybe the seat cable has been routed differently 🤔 thanks Pete 😁

Hi, have had exactly the same problem, the seat release cable stay hard up against the rack not allowing the holes to line up. I had to cut some of the plastic stay off with a Dremmel to be able to fit it. Also, how difficult is it to undo the electrical connector to the rear lights!!! That took longest of all. Regards Nick

Hi, just waiting for exactly the same to be delivered for my T100. Here's a question for you, how do you find the gear selection, especially 1st. On my 2023 model it's very clunky. It's been back to the Triumph dealership to check and reported as normal. Even with ear plugs and helmet on you can hear it and definitely feel selecting 1st. Thanks A Campbell

Rear rack much better than Triumph model which narrows at the back and makes it hard to attach bungees. It’s only saving grace is that it has narrow belt loops on the edges that can fit the lateral Velcro strap in my Oxford Travel bag.

You can't complain about the price or looks of those racks. I've been looking for a rear rack for the Bullet and they are pretty pricy, probably because the bike isn't manufactured these days. I'm probably going to stick my Giant Loop Great Basin on there when I find a rack. Yeah, it'll look strange, I'm sure, but there are no better rain proof luggage around, except for Mosko Moto and I'm going to put that set on the T7. You'll probably want some classy panniers and a separate bag for the rear rack. I have thought about grabbing a set of the Lomo bags because they are so inexpensive. Someday I might get some nice canvas or leather bags. The bike came with leather panniers but they are floppy and kinda sad looking. 🤣 I dunno, time will tell. Great purchase and install on those racks Mr TAYM!

Neat job , and practical stuff TAYM, yeah definitely better in black for a more discrete look and a bargain price, havea look at LOMO bags ,great value , totally waterproof and will fasten to anything , but don't get the 13lt size, they're too small , go for the 30 lt ones like I have on my Classic 350 , £75 for the pair 👍 All set to take Mrs TAYM on a camping trip eh ? 🤔😆

I hope yours are better quality than the ones I bought from Tec TAYM. I had the chrome ones and frankly they are junk the chrome finish was very poor and they are rusting after a year, I honestly wish I'd spent the money on either the Triumph rails or the Motone ones which are twice the price of the Tec ones but much much better quality. I use the Lomo throwover panniers on my Bonneville and although they don't look as good as some they are totally waterproof and huge and only about £60. I'll email you a pic of mine with the panniers and my drybag on.

Thanks Kev 😁 I’ve had no problems at all. The slightly older ones (2016-2021) came with a centre stand, which is a bonus as they are a couple of hundred pounds to buy. On the new model they come with much better tyres than the Pirellithat or on mine. Saying that mine have been ok but are probably passed their best leading to some snaking. But the bike itself is fantastic and as I say, no problems at all. 😁
