Hi man, I just bought one a couple of months ago. I did find the rear suspension lacking, in less than favourable road surfaces. I fitted YSS shocks to the rear and now it feels planted rather 'pogoing', they also match the front Marzocchi front end well. Totally agree, the riding style is all about the delicious Torque. FYI...... I recently had to go to Bangkok, which was about 38*C and combined with the heat from the engine, it was unbearable, I couldn't hug the tank and had to ride with my legs apart. I had the CAT removed, which helped a bit with the heat....definitely the 'hottest bike' I've ever ridden.......Rubber side down bud

Very interesting test and impressions about the bike. This bikes leave us a bitter taste after riding them because it compels to ride it faster but after 160kmh the power is gone. The end comes too soon. The lack of any wind protection also confirms that limited feeling. When I have ridden this bike on national roads it felt perfect. But once on the highway I quickly achieved its limits. These Bonneville family of Triumph, each one at their own way, are a lot attractive due to several aspects, not only for it but including the classic overall design and also for the technical modern features involved, like the actual 1200cc engine (high torque , liquid cooled) with its different mappings which is a winning bet from the manufacturers part.

In my opinion, i love the character of the Japanese engines, fuelling of the Italians, and the sound of the Brits. I think if I could have an engine with those characteristics, that would be my absolute keeper. Til I die. The Japanese has that rowdiness but not bordering hooligan, the Italians have a more linear fuelling compared to the on-off of the japanese, and the exhaust note of the Triumphs are just self explanatory.
