Totally agree Triumph should sell you the whole kit, even if with a basic end to finish it and as you suggest, you can swap out when it suits you. The 150 accessories is a great idea, as long as they don't appear to be milking it by charging high prices for tiny additional bits of kit that go with them. Can you please come back and show us the end result when they are on? Thank you for the video.

Or at least tell you that you need to get the finishers too. Once they are on I'll post a video walk around of the bike.

Thanks for this (all be it 6 years ago! :-)) I'm just looking here as bought just the black bar end finishers (not with mirrors, I prefer my mirrors higher) so saw at 3:19 it a beyond simple job. Small moan at Triumph though...I bought the black pair for my (unsurprisingly) black Street Twin to change up from the stock grey for simple aesthetics but they supply with a standard metal (so grey) screw. Surely it would be a nice and logical touch to make the screw (or at least the head of it that visible) black too?! Mini moan in to the wind over :-))))
@mancavemoto2 жыл бұрын
No worries, and yes that was my moan too. All of the black accessories come with silver screws
@greenambles2 жыл бұрын
@@mancavemoto when I just fitted my black bar end finishers now, I took the stock greys off and then noticed the screw with them almost twice as long as that supplied with the new ones! Of course I'm sure the new shorter ones will reach, turn, tighten and bite adequately but I stuck with the originals. THEN when fitting a new clutch badge - the chromed and black with "TRIUMPH MOTORCYLES" on it in the round - it doesn't come with ANY bolts so I had to use the originals which not shiny (chromed/zinc-plated) but hot-dip galvanised, good for anti-corrosion but clash a bit with the required aesthetic...(btw I can hear what a moaning minnie I sound like here but these seem simple fixes - 1. charge a bit less for the bar end finishers and supply without any bolts as originals fine OR at least supply with ones of the same length as the stock 2. supply 2 shiny bolts to go with the shiny clutch badge 3. put the end caps in with the mirror kits!)

I just recently bought the Triumph bar end mirrors . I have a 2005 t100 with 1 inch bars. It doesn't say they'd fit my bike, but graciously they fit perfectly on the original bar end weights, which are solid stainless steel black. The mirrors fit perfectly and look nice. For almost 200 bucks, they should. You only go round once right,? Thanks me friend.

It seems on the 2019 Street Twin, the bar end finisher kit is not necessary. I guess the handle bars are either bigger or the grips are smaller.

The handlebars are the same diameter, maybe they changed the stock end cap so that it fits with the bar ends?

Thinking about speaking to Down & Out, early next year about shortening the frame on my Street twin for solo seat, short mudguards pipes, etc. Bike was an N category write off recently, ( superficial damage, pipes etc) so why bring to triumph, When I could bring to Down & Out! My first question is; I’m I correct in saying, the minute I shorten for seat, will I have to get custom insurance? It’s my first bike, it’s sentimental but it’s also my daily commute, haven’t got room at home for second bike. Any recommendations for custom insurance, if so? Second question; Am I mad spending loads, I haven’t got on daily commute?

Hi Steven, no i didn't as the brake fluid reservoir fixes to the mirror mount. Haha maybe you've discovered their secret 😂
@stevenfebvre51517 жыл бұрын
Views from the Man Cave sorry, yeah I just clocked your part 2 vid and the penny dropped ☺️ Thanks for replying so quick. One thing I might mention is are there any unwanted (or wanted) vibes from removing your bar ends. The replacements don't look heavy at all. I fitted a Rhinomoto bar ends to my XSR900 with CRG lanesplitters mirrors, which fold in for a narrower bar when filtering. They're fab but sometimes when going over 140mph they self fold in 😆 but the bar ends are screw-in and they have a good strong weight to them. Perhaps the little bonnie doesn't need 'em?
@mancavemoto7 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, the bar ends on the street twin are just light aluminium caps, not weights. So when you fit the mirrors there is no difference. There is a threaded insert inside the bars which effectively act as bar ends. The ST won't get anywhere near 140 so no worries there 😂
