I'm glad to hear no issues while doing mostly off road. So far, for me, I've done over 10,000 miles/16,090 km in roughly 6 months. This was mostly roads/highway with an occasional gravel road or hunting trail. The stock tires had plenty of meat on them but I exchanged the metzlers for the Dunlop Trailmax. Much less noise on the Dunlop. Other than that, the only issue I have is the key fob does not like the cold. I installed highway pegs from Altrider and that helped me prolong the daily miles. The bike battery handles all my heated accessories, chargers, etc. very well in the cold. I have been very impressed with my Tiger especially as it is my first Triumph.

Great review! I think the problem is that many people are not very conscious about what they are riding and then start complaining about the things such shaft, vibrations etc and also they got used to something like in line 4 and then swap that for v2, on top of that our preferences so when you change one of those then you will complain this is why i never bother about others complaints and find out myself, stay safe mate

Great review! I own the rally pro model. This motorcycle is very special if you know what you are looking for. Clutch bleeding and clutch fluid replacement is now essential in the form of a recall from Triumph. All tigers shall do this at their next visit at the dealership for free.

Thx George! Yes, I know - my Tiger was already in that bleeding process in Phoenix Arizona whilst the first service and again in Guatemala. Obviously that didn’t solve the problem for good. But since that is the only issue, I can easily live with that 🤗. Best regards from Chile, Jörg.

Hey Magnus! Thx for subscribing 😃! I know what your question is about! I saw these comments too. Let me point it like this: If you’re a rookie, you’re better off on the GS when it comes to lowest speed handling, because of it’s lower point of gravity. Above 5-10 km/h this advantage is gone! You have to get used to every bike by riding it. Even if all the high mounted luggage doesn’t make it better on my Tiger, I never had any trouble in hairpins or low speed handling. But I ride since 38 years and direct my bike with over 110 kg of own bodyweight- that helps😉 Best regards from Kuala Lumpur, Jörg

@@my-global-ride Thank you for the advice Jörg, yes I am a rookie. My question is mostly for practicing and passing the driving test in Sweden, which can be really difficult. I currently live in Mexico, here the license was really easy and I driven some smaller bikes like cfmoto 450, Royal enfields, Itakas, but that is what I am going to buy when I move back to Sweden. I think I just go with the 900 or 1200 and practice more on this. What a coincidence, I am just watching 2 Wheels 2 Everywhere channel, he is in Kuala Lumpur now. lol,. Good luck on your travels, will follow. Cheers from Swede in Mexico

I have the same bike with the same K’s on mine, the vast majority of which had been off road. Like you, i am very happy. Agree with everything you said, although I haven’t had a problem with the clutch, touch wood. I assume by now you have done your major service. With mine they had to replace the cam shafts, which is apparently becoming a known issue to Triumph. At my dealership, they have replaced cams on every bike that has come in? Anyway, just got back from a 2 day ride yesterday and noticed the handle bars have a little movement front and back at the mounting points. Can’t remember is that was there before or not? Anyway, love my bike.

I thought your video really emphasized the dynamics of the wheel sizes compared to the GS. Die hard Beemer fans will always pick the GS but I like the Triumph. A little fork dive is what I'm used too anyway, it's just a big motorcycle is all. Yeah what a monster of a machine.

Thank you Darren! I wish I could give you more input about the pillion - but my passengers seat was only used by my wife for the first 3 weeks of this tour. Since she’s not so much into biking - she is surely no reference🤗 only thing I can say - she felt much more comfy on this seat, than on my 2017 KTM ADVENTURE S or my 2012 Multistrada 1200. the drivers seat though, is the most comfortable stock seat I have ever ridden… not worn out a bit, after now 42000 km. Cheers Jörg.🤘🏼

Its air and moisture. If somehow air could pass into the clutch system, now there is moisture also. its a sealed system, there is no way of air getting in there from the environment. Its the moisture under pressure that causes air into the system. Visit your dealership and demand liquid replacement and clutch bleeding under the Triumph recall. New liquid should come from a new, sealed container.

Hello. Thank you for your video. It's very great emotionally and in informative. I am thinking very much about Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and Ducati Multistrada V4S. So my question is how is during high speed long roads? What is it like in case of wind protection? I agree with all you saying and especially that the bike sounds great. When I testrided Tiger 1200 it was enormous amount of fun reving it up from low RPM but I've spent almost all of my testride in town and had no chance to ride it on any decent speed like more then 60mph for at least 20 minutes or longer just to know if it is good in terms of high speed long trips across here in Europe. I wish you the best and once again thank you for your video! One more interesting fact. I search for vids like Tiger 1200 problems and see no complains from people except "the screen lacks of some info". It seems like it's not popular enough or it's really so great
@my-global-ride
@my-global-ride Жыл бұрын
Yes Yana - it's really so great ;-) About high speed traveling, I cannot tell you too much, since our travel speed rarely exceeds the 125 km/h. Wind protection for me is absolutely perfect with the standard setup. My Travel-Mate Blake is 4 cm taller than me, and was not satisfied with it (185 to 189cm) so everything is relativ to the individual! Happy new year, and best regards from the end of the world!

@@my-global-ride Great review! Thanks for sharing your experience. Can you tell if there is more or less vibrations than a BMW 1250 in the handlebars at that speed? I own a Tiger 900 RP and I think that the vibrations at high speed (120+ kmph) are kind of anoying :( Wish you lucky riding miles!

No issues with running through the suspension travel and bottoming out?
@my-global-ride
@my-global-ride 8 ай бұрын
How to answer this one...... Yes, the bike uses all its suspension travel when in Offroad-Mode (Not Off-road Pro) cause the settings from factory are very soft, and would fit only a light driver and no luggage. ever since I figured that out, I use Offroad Pro and selected a little harder setting. That prevents bottoming out in 95% , the last 5% are really hard knocks and I easily accept that, cause I know how much I challenge the bike with my weight and the 70 Kilo of load. So the answer is - Yes, no real issues here, but the compromise is off course general comfort over hardcore offroad capability!

I have a few questions on wind and weather management. How is the wind noise and how much upper body wind are you getting at speeds 110kph and higher? During heavy rain how dry are you staying?
@my-global-ride
@my-global-ride 10 ай бұрын
Well- everything depends on your size. I‘m 185cm and enjoy perfect wind protection, but heavy rain is gonna get you, this is not a Goldwing. Blake is 189cm and was complaining about interferencing wind at his helmet.🤗

Great review off the bike. I currently have a 2017. I bought this bike last year with 4k on it, currently at 29k and I love the bike, not one issue. I plan on buying a 2023 soon. My biggest complaint is the cost of a valve check. Local dealer quoted for my bike $1200 to $1800 for the service. Checking the valves is not that hard but pulling the cams to adjust is beyond my skills. I rode from AZ to Tn so a friend who is a true MC mechanic could help me. All was in spec at 27k. My question is, how much was the valve check? where did you get it done? and were they in spec? I look forward to watching your other videos.
