keyless ignition has to be one of the most pointless bits of tech to have on a motorbike, great video- very useful

Glad you liked it :), I thought keyless might be a game changer but it has become more of an annoyance!

I have the rally explorer version, just traveled from Scotland to Czech Republic and back 2 up fully loaded and the bike was awesome no issues whatsoever, yes tyres are a wee bit noisy at speed but otherwise never missed a beat probably the most comfortable bike I have ridden on a long trip, for reference I have done this trip 5 times before on a GS adventure

I have the Triumph hard luggage for long trips, for shorter trips I have some Kriega OS system bags which can be fastened to the racks, I find Kriega the best and most accessible here in UK

I hope Madstad comes out with a bracket for these. I find the wind protection a little rough with my Givi tall screen. I find it pretty turbulent at any setting. My XTZ1200 is so much better with a Madstad 24". NICE tip on the pairing. I had given up.

I pickup mine next week glad to know they are more than happy to put in warranty claims. Could you provide an update when it comes available on the shaft drive noise and what they say it is. Thanks
@Munkybunky Жыл бұрын
They thought the noise was the brake pads, they took them out and used some copper slip. Hasn’t made any difference so they are going to take a proper look

Dropped here as I'm planning GS1250/ ATAS/ T1200RP. I owned a Tiger 900 Rally Pro last year, The bike is amazing but the vibration is uffff.... Exactly at 129KMPH the bike becomes a vibrator machine. Sold it post riding 4000KMs. I think Triumph must work on this vibration issues. Rode GS1250 for 3-4 hours, oh my god, what a bike. But I am really happy for you and your bike. I'm waiting for ATAS with super charger engine in it... God knows when will Honda plan to reveal it

Great video, just got my tiger rally pro, tried many times to get my navigation set up but I just can’t seam to get it to work. Followed all the instructions but it just won’t.

In my experience it needs to be on the latest TFT update. Then if it is reset everything so you are starting from a fresh start. Load the triumph app on your phone and pair it to the bike. Ensure the bike is on ready to start but not running. You should see what gear you are in in the display!then try the navigation in the app. Only at that point would I start pairing the headset

@@Munkybunky Ah as per my earlier message.... I had the TFT replaced and I bet the dealer didn't update it argh!

@motouk1 Delete any routes you have in app. If you send a route you need to press stop or sometimes it locks.

My 1200 GT Pro is now about 2 months old and I agree it's not perfect, not for a premium bike anyway. But she rides really really well. I had the TFT screen replaced under warranty replaced due to poor/uneven brightness but the new one is exactly the same so perhaps that is just the way they are. The Navigation system worked initially but I unpaired my bike but nothing I seem to do will allow me to add my bike to My Garage, so whilst Navigation is shown on the TFT display it's usefulness is very limited. Frustrating more than essential but again it's poor for a premium brand. The vibrations you mention are common it seems and I too have had them. In my case this caused numbness in my wrists after some time. I have now fitted the Evotech barends and that has helped it seems. I still trying to decide whether to get a different screen or not. I just want something a few centimeters taller and wider really.

Got the GT explorer and having a few issues: 1. Mirrors are useless at speed can’t see anything out of them 2. Vibrations over 4.5k revs are not good and cause a tingle after a while. Fitted the evotech bar end weights and they are still an issue. 3. Buffer when riding at motorway speed got a lip fitted but not great

Have you tried Grip Puppies? They help to reduce the handlebar vibration.

Thanks for the review coming from real ownership. I’m looking at the gs vs rally explorer and I’m leaning towards Triumph. Yes they don’t seem perfect however the engine is intoxicating and has the fun factor, something the GS lacks. I’ve heard multiple complaints about road vibe and that seems concerning as the tires don’t seems that aggressive.
@Munkybunky Жыл бұрын
I think if you are regularly doing 70 on motorways for long periods then it may be an issue but if Motorways are just now and again to get to somewhere fun then its not an issue.
@Chromatrix1 Жыл бұрын
Hard to say what the terrain is going to be overall. Most likely motorways for longer periods and lots of dirt roads as well. The extra vibe makes me a little nervous spending $$, but that’s the nature of the T-plane. In VT USA, more than half of all of the roads are all dirt.
@Munkybunky Жыл бұрын
@@Chromatrix1 So I would say if more than half the roads are dirt, then you wont be doing 70 mph so it will be fine!
