It begins. Finally back on the Triumph TR6. We take a look at the project and pull the engine and transmission.

Hurry up lil bro. I don't have anyone to hack on except your baby bro Clay. Queenie just gets mad. Strange not having 3 people telling me how to do "thangs Vern", lol. Hope you are feeling better!

All in all she is in pretty good shape.

That's a nice looking TR6. It will be nice when you restore it.

Thanks! Looking forward to getting it going.

@@indyme2 When you finish, you and "Rust Queen" can ride the curves from Landrum to Hendersonville on Hwy 176, or Marietta to Brevard on Hwy 64,

@@mark9531 Yes Sir, That run from Hwy. 11 to Caesar's Head is a great run too. Thanks!

I’ve worked 16 hours today and I’m tired, but I’m stoked to watch this video!

16 hours? Ouch, but it makes more $$ for TR's! I took a break from the RQ's wagon today to work on the 6 for a few hours. Having fun but my head is spinning thinking about your white one. I feel changes in the "plan" are coming.

Sorry to hear Vern is down hope he heals quickly. Seems like most of the rust is from some water getting in a pooling.
@indyme22 ай бұрын
I agree with you. Pooling of water for sure as the rest of the car is in too good of condition. Vern is getting better. Going to really hack on him when the cast is removed and the gimpy, peg leg is exposed for all to see, lol. Thank you for stopping in.

That’s a good looking project. Very doable. Nice job on the solo engine and trans removal. Not sure if you are planning to take the rear fenders off Jerry. I’d highly recommend it, as I can pretty much gaurentee that there will be rust through on the fender to body tub flange based on the rust you can see. Keep up the great work! I’m here when you need me!

Yes Sir. Looking at the rockers (sills), I feel the rear fenders are coming off. The shiny white paint on yours is pulling on me. Maybe Panasport wheels too. You and the Rust Queen are bad influences on me. Appreciate and looking forward to your help. Thanks!

Ok Jerry! Tush Coming At Ya! Next years 6-PACK TRials is back in Fontana Dam from October 2nd-5th, 2025. You have a year to get that TR6 on the road to drive with me on the Dragon. Can You make it? No pressure 😉

That is going to be tough especially as I have spent hours upon hours for weeks soaking, heating and beating trying to get the windshield out! Judging from one of your posts on a 6 forum, you had the same joyful experience. We have been down with Covid and are slowly recovering. Still sick. The crap won't go away and forget trying to get the lungs to clear or fever to subside. But, we will survive and get back to work on the ratty TR6 soon. You were right. I was in for a surprise when I pulled the wings! Will so an update video soon. Fontana or bust, lol.

if you haven't already, check the frame at the rear swing arm connections, they are bad about rusting out there.

I had it up in the air when I did a complete brake job. Tried to check the frame pretty closely then. Seems to be ok but I will check the area you mentioned again. This a local car and we rarely see ice or snow. But these cars are prone to rust and the frame is no exception. Thanks for the tip! Need all we can get, lol.
