Thanks George. There are times when I nearly gave up on the car and making the videos. I'm glad that I persevered on both counts.

Engine sounds great now. I had a lot of problems with my original petrol tank, so much crud in it, in the end I put a new alloy one in end of problem. You have made a great job on the inside. It will be worth it everywhere you go you will get positive comments. Nice car

Ive still got a slight misfire going on. I managed to find a really good mechanic who used to work on these cars back in the day so Ive booked him in to come in next week to go over everything Ive done and fine tune it. Thats literally the final job as far as it stands

From my dream car to my dream bike 😆😆😆 I'd love to restore such an iconic bike for you. These past two weeks have been very progressive with the TR6. The restoration seemed to have speeded up all of a sudden

If you are on a budget, you might want to consider the SS bumpers from either the Harrington Group or Bumper Automobile ( both Vietnamese). I’ve got a set on my TR250 and are happy with them.

It looks like SS is the way I am going to go. Theres absolutely no chance of getting decent chrome ones. I'll be ordering this week

@@treetopspider for what you pay for them I don’t think you will be unhappy. You may need to play around with the mounting hardware a bit as usually they send metric fasteners….

@@cheftush I ordered them this morning and they should be with me tomorrow. I did hear that you have to mess with them a little to get them to fit nicely. I suppose with everything else Ive had to deal with on this car, they shouldnt be too much of a headache

I would think twice about fitting a stainless steel exhaust, I deeply regretted changing from mild steel to stainless when I had my TR6 as it completely ruined the great sound and was far noisier. And I imagine that a mild steel one will last very long if the car is not driven on salty roads
@treetopspider

That actually makes really good sense. I can imagine that this car will spend most of its life in a garage and only coming out to play on a hot and summery day. Which by the way is precisely why I sold the hard top ☺

@@treetopspider It's just my opinion/experience (from 20+ years ago) - some like the sound of the stainless system
