Dear Mr DSG As an owner of a inherited 77 TR7 FHC I recommend this guy Church House Classics for Stromberg's he explains it well. But, mate i am laughing at the triumphs you are having as they are the same as mine. That circlip is a beast. I have the fuel tank out and clean and reseal and dropped the whole axle out yo do it so gettin that pesky clip back in will be so much easier. All the bloody best.

thanks a lot! After doing this job my handbrake barely works, so I think one of the levers unseated itself again. But oh well. Once I get new front brakes on it will stop plenty good and I can revisit the rear when I swap in a new rear end.

That is why old guys convert to disk brakes. BTW, that is all normal.

it's going to be a mandatory policy from now on for all my cars

I saw the TR7 on a list of the worst cars ever made, it was listed as Mechanical Nightmare! 😄😉

@@Jaxs2 was the rear brake hardware wrong? I think that's the only part I wasn't sure of, because those retainer springs were awful. Everything else I already knew was wrong because it was obvious.

@@Jaxs2 that new clutch line setup I did looks better than any clutch line I've seen on a TR7. If I can keep coming up with solutions like that, I'll have a lot of fun building a great little car.

Their not that bad and responsibly easy to work on.
