I'm sure the T160 wasn't built at Meriden but at Small Heath.

Triumph made Triples their own really, nothing suits a Motorcycle Chassis better or sounds better, nice video, good to see the evolution side by side although an early 900 Hinkley Trident would have completed the set.

The T160 is a Small Heath built Trident not built at Meriden, don't try to rewrite history.

Yes built at the BSA factory under NVT.

speed triple 955 owner had mine 8 years no faults no problems finish second to none in fact the Kawasaki I had before fell apart triumph finish superb!!

Helen Loughton Couldn't agree more. I ride a '01 955i and love the bike. Had a Kawasaki '01ZRX 1200 that ran fine but steering was twitchy, didn't have the hard torque of the SP3. The quality of the Triumph is very apparent everywhere you look.

I had a 1994 triumph Daytona 900 super III and for a sport touring bike it gives the newer sports bikes a run for their money

I still have a 1200 version of these, great sport tourer, absolutely bullet proof.

It was the T150 that was used in the TT. Get your facts right.

The T160 would be my choice as an everyday all-rounder. Easy to fix, but the clutch needs patience to set up correctly.
@briancritchley52955 жыл бұрын
The early Triumph is the best looking, the latter have to much plastic..

hi guy, i prefer early hinckley triumphs. bulletproof (john bloor is a qualty freak and the erased the kinks and konks in the first two ys entirely) and you still can feel the young companys efforts to come up with the best. here in germany you can get a lot of 885 triples and 1180 fours for 1500 euro-bucksin good shape. cheers to down under!

great bikes now theyre all made by ting tongs in Thailand. I shall never ever buy a triumph again

Oh my Super 3 is top heavy and the old gal isn’t as nimble as other bikes but she is a groin giggle and best of all she doesn’t leak oil like my son’s Ducati 900ss .

apparently triumph did most of the tuning work in house on the super3?

2 optics on the 675 but only 1 that works, is that progress?

Turn the sound off for the first part, so you don't hear the stupid commentary about the T160 (and Triumph's demise in the 70's).

5:00 Speedometer has been disconnected, I dont believe for one second it was broken .Bit naughty on any vehicle never mind a collector's machine .
@KlockworXMusic5 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? Speedo is working, odometer is rolling, slowly because he is only doing like 35km/h, but its definitely not disconnected.

T160? 65 bhp? no chance, more like 45 and i dont give a shit what the TR03 owners club bell ends say, and it only produces that wimpy 45bhp for 5000 miles (if you are extremely luck) as the two wheeled hand grenade exploded after 5K miles. these bikes were utter utter shite.
@MrBeezumph4 жыл бұрын
It's the way you tell 'em that make me laugh. It was actually 58 BHP. Although mine is a T150V, in 40 years of owning it only twice has it failed to got me home, a puncture and a broken rear chain. After watching the 1999 Eclipse in Paignton i road the full length of the M6 2 up at 95 mph apart from fuel stop as100 mph was a ban. A 1969 T150 did completed the 2012 American Iron Butt Rally, 11000 miles in eleven days. IN 1968 Rocket 3s broke all distance speed records for production bike hitting 131.7 mph which stood till the Z900. Don't know how i've written this as i'm still laughing at your post
