Hi Richard theres a bait clip at the top of the rig as well as at the bottom by the weight the hooklength goes up over the top clip and down to the bottom clip for the hook 👍 👌

I always do well off the flat spot next to the flagpole out in the bay to your left - its only a 30 yard lob out into the channel and a clean sandy bottom ... there is a flat platform to fish from at the top of the steps

If you use a zip slider running ledger and pop the bait up with a 20mm polystyrene ball 18" off the bottom,it will put you among the fish (not the crabs).Next time you float fish,have the lead just clearing the bottom,and the bait popped up with a polystyrene ball.That will float the bait and the lead above the rocks.(ideal for the inland sea)

Fished there a good ten years ago mate it produced good fish the only downside was we got lost on route and asked a local for directions but he replied in Welsh so you can imagine how that went lol any way keep the lines tight cheers martyn van life fisherman
