Another wonderful piece by Gilbert Vinter. I wish he was still composing these days, as he always had a theme that ripped your heart out. Nothing like that now, all rip shit and bust . Pyrotechnics in abundance, but no real music. R I P Gilbert Vinter.

I remember well that day in October back in 1969 when I heard that GV had died at just 60 years old. I was a 20 year old solo euphonium player and just loved his music and the wonderful euph parts he wrote. I’m now 71 and retired, but thankfully my ears are still working.
