It's so hard to choose a favorite for me! This song has spectacular riffage and it's just fucking epic... then you have Sickness Unto You......soooo damn brutal/groovy halfway through til the end... The Defiant is amazing for that nostalgia factor... Amongst the Shadows and the Stones is thrashy goodness... this whole album is a masterpiece. Best Trivium album to this point.

Music critics: Best/favorite song off Triviums new album..... Trivium fans since Ember to Inferno: YES TO ALL To Matt and all of Trivium from the depths of my heart and soul. Thank you for continuing to be the people you are. You constantly grow, innovate, and push forward which in turn touches all you do. You're exemplary performances not just as musicians but as people, human beings is in my opinion of a Complete Tier One Human Potentiality Achievment level. I admit I'm not much of a diehard metal fan anymore. My tastes have become much broader now as I've aged. However Trivium remains one of the few worthy metal bands I continue to love with the same "Fuck Yes" fever pitch as when I was a 16yr old naively rebelious dumb kid(31 now 1/3 life complete lol). I don't know when/if bands touring will return. What with the ccpvirus, warnings of worldwide famine, mounting worldwide civil unrest, all with backdrop of the drums of the threat of global war steadily and strongly building. But I do know as examples of humanity you guys rank up there and hopefully I'll get a chance yet to see you live and shake your hands. Again thank you for all you do and I wish/pray all the best for you and those you love. 🤘🙏✨🇯🇵🇺🇸✨🙏🤘

They're better than Metallica at this point. Metallica hasn't released an impressive album since 1989. After Justice, they fell flat on their songwriting and technical abilities. Trivium had a small period that wasn't as impressive, but now we have TatS and WtDMS to show how far they've come. And it didn't take them 10 years to release a new album. Trivium has been releasing albums consistently since the beginning and majority of their 9 albums have been fantastic. Metallica made 4 good albums and lost all skill and creativity. Say what you want about Silence in the Snow, but it is definitely not like St. Anger. Metallica took like 9-10 years to make Hardwired and it was very meh. The past two Trivium albums have been stellar and only took a few years. Metallica ran out of creativity pretty quick. They've been around for 40 years and made the same amount of albums a Trivium, who released their first album in 2001.
