Trivium just keeps peaking. It's absolutely freaking insane what kind of life Alex has brought into the band. It's like all limitations came off when he joined and he just brought them to the next level. Not to discredit everyone else but Alex is an absolute game changer. If this is anything to go by their next record is going to be an AOTY.

Since Alex Bent joined the band, Trivium really goes beyond and always does an amazing job. we can't forget when TSATS was released, it was a totally an epic comeback from them and then the last year's album, WTDMS, which were released on April 24th, contains of all of Trivium past albums sounds and it is really good. then we got this new single and it's like they're going on steroids.. i'm still blown away on that chorus, those blast beats and the riffs and also Matt's clean vocals is nothing but perfect 🔥🔥

This reminds me more of a vibe from the Ember to Inferno's "blinding the tears will break the skies" which was like how "the defiant" made the vibe towards "the decieved" from Ascendancy. I love how they are starting to go back and mix of the old style rhythms from their early days with Alex Bent now. If they play this(which most likely) or any of their new material during this upcoming fall concert tour with Megadeth I will seriously shit my pants for this.

I was never a big fan of Trivium, but the last album (The Sin and the Sentence) reintroduced me to the boys and I changed my mind once again. From what I've heard so far, this album is going to be even better than 'tS&tS'... And just one more thing from me (so that I don't forget): from quite some time now, Matt Heafy's been put on many lists and rankings as one of the best guitar players alive, and in all honesty - he, for the most part, deserved it! OK, but what about Corey Beaulieu, then? Trivium would be totally different band without him- and I'm not talking just about his "speedy Gonzales" shredding or the dual guitar harmonies- Corey is an author/co-author of many riffs, lyrics, melodies and harmonies, and he sings the backing vocals live (or should I say he 'screams' the backing vocals live). He's definitely one of the most underrated guitarists ever, and that's a goddamn shame...

I haven't really listened to Trivium in years and this sounds a lot like what they were years ago to me. The first half of the song was at least. At the 7 min mark I thought that was good. It was heavy and sounded different. It was alright song I guess but I wasn't as impressed as many seem to be here haha.
@2UltimateZWarrior23 жыл бұрын
I think the reason so many are impressed is exactly that, it sounds more old school than usual haha. Idk where you left off, but pretty much after In Waves (or after Shogun even) they were shifting to a different style. Always kept it heavy, but def lost that sorta thrashy aggresiveness from before. Now people are hyped they're slowly getting back to that style, or at least like a mix of new and old
@APieceOfLiquid3 жыл бұрын
@@2UltimateZWarrior2 just doesn't do it for me. Nothing new. I'm listening to bands like Jinjer who keep pushing the boundaries of metal. Trivium just seem to be stuck and bring nothing new.

@@APieceOfLiquid Understandable. Personally I like pretty much everything from Trivium so I can't complain hehe, sure nothing super crazy but still great and enjoyable to me at least. Did you like the new Jinjer song? It's already one of my favorites by them lml
@maverick42553 жыл бұрын
@@APieceOfLiquid Trivium as a band is always bringing something new because they have their own style that is so different from other metalcore bands. Also, Jinjer is not pushing the boundaries LMAO, the riffs in their new song are the most bland stereotypical metalcore riffs you could make. Like seriously, put Sam Carter on the vocals for that song and nobody would recognize it's not just a bad Architects song. Can't put any lyricist on Trivium's music and realize that it's not theirs. Edit: What other songs have fucking blast beats on a chorus and make it work so well? Your opinion is so shit it hurts my brain, especially comparing it to generic ass Jinjer.
