Matt Heafy himself cares a lot about them since M Shadows is the one that helped him recover his voice after he blew it out (He is talking about it in the interview he did with Alternative Press in August 2016)... So the reason you still have a new album coming out in October is in some part because of A7X. Corey Beaulieu even said that he would love to tour with A7x (Interview he did with Music Feed in March 2016) so stop with your non sense.

Francesco Paoli is an amazing drummer, but if you think that's the only proper way to play (or that there is such a thing), you're incredibly ignorant when it comes to drumming. Probably just ignorant in general, if you see X and reply that it's shit because it's not Y.

I'm still quite put out by the turnover rate of drummers, but I'm really glad how open and forthright the band is being about their perspective on the issue. Matt is being brutally honest and it's refreshing to hear Paolo say "we thought maybe this time it'd actually work out with this guy". They're not acting like it's all 100% perfect and how it's supposed to be but they're making the best of it. Alex is fantastic anyway and seems chill so hopefully he'll settle and be able to stick around for a long time.

Every other drummer in Trivium in the past had great history and skill levels, but personally, i would definately keep alex due to his skill level, understanding, easily able to do a trivium song in 1 to 2 takes, able to play 15 songs in a week, he is amazing. He even planned on what type of beats he wanted to do without hesitation for their songs. He thought ahead and he is really outstanding. Keep him in and make trivium better. I feel like most people haven't got a clue on what it takes to hold a band together and jump the gun on the drummer hate far too easily. Getting through a record with 4 creative minds must be an impossible task let alone touring internationally with an equally aggressive schedule. Matt, Paolo, and Corey obviously get along creatively and to shoehorn somebody into a situation where there's already an immense catalog of music (and chemistry) is probably insurmountable. We agree that Alex is amazing and we'd love him to stay but I wish I could watch videos like this one and share the hype instead of have to wade through comments of fifteen year olds that have never made a relationship work in the first place give "bulletproof advice" to a band that has grown exponentially since their inception. Anyone that has supervised people before, been in long term relationships, or done any kind of larger-scale social engagement in a professional setting understands that human chemistry is difficult and complex. We want a consistent drummer. They get it. It's complicated. Fuck.
@pablosantanaojeda29067 жыл бұрын
I just logged in to give you a thumbs up and cheers man, that's the way it has to be seen. People needs to stop giving hate on their decisions, cause we are not there and anyways, as you said, human chemistry is difficult and complex, it is not just a matter of who is the best technical drummer or bass player (even thought it's important) but how they connect and interact as a whole. That's why Matt refers to Trivium as Corey, Paolo and himself, they've been through everything you must fight as a band and they know each other and the fact that they work within themselves, and in words of Matt (more or less quoted) "every drummer change it's for the band survival" and that's it, we are losing a lot of things that can happen inside a band, and we are no one to hate on their decisions. Cheers guys and have a nice metal day!
