He had to have emergency surgery during the tour, was able to return, but Dr said he could not hold the bass. Therefore, the bass stand

He had an emergency hernia surgery and as a result he can't move on stage or hold a bass so it's on a stand

The man's voice is gone, it doesn't even sound like the same song, it's strange, in fact, it wasn't any different with Axl Rose... he pushed for many years and today there's nothing left, but they're still legends!!!

It's not gone by any means, he just has to be safe these days. His voice is probably the healthiest it's ever been, but that comes at the risk of changing his technique, which is a shame.
