It's crazy to me that back when I first watched this I just found it funny and good to watch, but now it's really difficult because in hindsight I can see all the signs. Every time Katya stares intensely between her little rants and jokes, every time Trixie watches her to make sure she's going to say something she can reel back in if she needs to, the little looks between the two of them occasionally. I'm so glad Katya is doing as great as she is now because she was scarily good at keeping her shit together for the most part while using.

Katya was definitely on something. There’s no way she wasn’t. I know that look from personal experience. She’s trying so hard to try to concentrate in the silence. The staring off in the distance, and intense eye contact. The touching. Some sort of downer. I did those exact same things when I took just a little bit too much and was trying to act normal. That’s what’s off about her.

Yeah, this interview makes me a little uncomfortable for those exact reasons. I know she's probably doing "worse" here than the "Ass" episode of their show on Viceland, but that episode made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE because something was obviously so wrong with Katya from the first second of that show...I still can't rewatch it and I've watched all the other episodes 100×...as someone who's had experiences like you mentioned, and has had a psychotic break it was very disturbing. I remember thinking "Something is VERY WRONG here." Her eyes, her posture, the way she talked. And then later hearing her say she was on drugs/having a mental break at the time, it made perfect sense.
