You can hear and feel through her music how much she misses her Dad. I'll never forget Chris. Just glad he left something behind for the world.

When an artist is sincere enough to let her tears flow when she "performs" a piece that has a special meaning to her, then this is a sure sign that something special is happening in our musical universe... Go on Trixie and please survive!

I can`t stand the rain Against my window Bringing back sweet memories I can`t stand the rain Against my window Because he's not here with me Hey window pane Do you remember How sweet it used to be When we were together Everything was so grand Now that we`ve parted There`s one sound that I just can`t stand ----- In the graveyard of modern days the sensual touch is all that remains you blew the fragile grace on my skin and in my face *chorus Leaving pieces behind, anywhere I go Every time I go I'm leaving behind my soul Leaving pieces of mine, everywhere I go Braking in to pieces every time I grow Constant dozing The rose of the mind flow Emptiness is always on the go Gliding in the mirrors Gathering the symptoms of all we have And all we don't know

@vonalxao1 I'll toast to that. As soon as she becomes "main stream" is when she'll be eaten alive and burn out fast. Natural artists are like rare gems, only a few might be graced by itheir presence.

She's great. I didn't even know till yesterday that she's Chris Whitley's daughter. As far as the top comment, Lady Gaga is very talented and could pull off a quality unplugged version of her songs if she wanted to. She just chooses to have her albums overproduced to sell in the mainstream. She can play piano and has a trained voice. So, I wouldn't lump Gaga together with Kesha who is lame as can be. Either way, I'd still rather listen to Trixie.

The Whitley family's DNA should be studied by musicological geneticists. Now if I could just get these goosebumps to go away. Like father, like daughter

while i agree with your sentiment, Lady Gaga is actually QUITE talented and nowhere near the same category as Ke$ha. it's true.
