I’ve just taken delivery of my TRK 502 x 5 days ago. Update of my previous comment. Put in almost 100 km and am very happy with my purchase. Thanks again.

Hi the 20 plate comes with adjustable levers as std, they work well enough for me, the bike you were on, the after market levers do look a bit more chunky, all down to personal preference, great review as always and stick me down for a ride out/overnighter 👍

Thanks for checking out the review. Since shooting the video I have had a fastball contract come in, in London and I won't be back until November. If you are still up for either a ride out or an overnight ride then I'll be looking at sorting something out if there are enough requests. Ride safe. 👍

In my experience it is always best to do a couple of 1-day meetings first, to get acquainted and establish ride protocol beforehand. Trips should only be encouraged once you have established buddies imho >>>>>

Thanks for the input but that's all a bit too serious for me really. I'm not planning a military mission in a hostile environment, just a simple lads ride out. Ride safe 👍 🙏

i have been offered a 2020 spec bike newly registered for 2021 at £4999 plus OTR £200 coming out at £5200 in total or do i go for a 2021 spec bike at £5799 plus £200 OYR totaling £6000 do you think the differences in spec are worth the difference in price
@BikeRiderReviews3 жыл бұрын
I love a bargain personally so I would go for the cheaper bike, for me the upgrades are not that much of an issue. A lot depends on your finances and what you can afford and want to spend. I think you cannot really lose either way as both bikes are amazing value. Ride safe. 👍

just bought a 2021 x model that's getting delivered on 9th oct....quick question mate is there a fuel range meter or just the fuel gauge?....on average how much range you getting from a full tank?
@BikeRiderReviews3 жыл бұрын
Hi, there is no fuel range meter, only a petrol guage. I have a 502x version and i can get around 230 miles from a full tank but I find im pushing it at that, riding for quite a while with the low light flashing. A lot depends on the bike set up. My bike has a lot of weight on it with all the bars and luggage. I know some riders say they get 250 miles out of a tank. I never like to run my bikes low and I ususaly fill up at inbetween 150 and 180 miles. Each time I fill up I just reset the trip meter on the clock. From what I hear the 502 road version has a better fuel consumption due to the different gearing. I hope that helps. Ride safe mate.

Very nice comparison on a very nice road trip. Your reviews have been one of the reasons, I am riding a TRK 502x 2021. My bike is in the break in period and I have done 423 km so far with love. Want to give it a bath now, as it has gathered some dirt, but feel afraid it might get water in some delicate electric switches or grips and sensors. Please help me muster my courage to give the bike the first bath by offering your valued experience of washing your bike and any precautions please. Regards.

What happens when you ride in heavy rain?
@syedadeelakhtarshah36493 жыл бұрын
@@mikehurley5052 you are right! The fact is that I have never ridden in rain ever. Secondly, while washing we deliberately throw water and the detergent on the whole bike, in every crevice. Have apprehension of letting water seap in some unwanted and delicate electrical switches. So the expert comment would help me settle my fears. Regards.

@@syedadeelakhtarshah3649 I have ridden in all weathers for nearly 50 years, bikes can get wet so dont worry.
@BikeRiderReviews3 жыл бұрын
Dont worry about washing the bike. I use a low pressure foam lance to cover the bike in soap foam and use sponges and brushers to clean the bike followed by a rinse off with a low pressure hose pipe. Yo will not cause any damage to any part of the bike if you wash it like this. Take a look on the TMF KZbin channel he has some great videos on how to clean your bike. Ride Safe.

The mirrors on the newer model have the TRK logo on the back, and a "carbon fiber" print. Also the bike should now be Euro5 compliant too ! (in-line "cat" in the downpipes) Cheers

Kev, I ride my 2019 TRK from Northamptonshire to Central London and back every week as a commuter. A distance of some 80 miles each way. I wouldn’t change it for any bike. Hope you got the bolts sorted for the exhaust mate

Hi bud, to be honest I got a fastball contract down in London so I I haven't had chance to get anything done. I needed to replace the tyres and a fork seal but didn't have time, so I'm down in London now on the wife's Honda until the end of November

Thanks for checking out the review. I agree the bike is fantastic value for money and at the end of the day you cant really compare a £5,000 bike against a £15-20,000 bike unless your looking at what you actualy get per £ spent. Ride safe
