Only the culture of Sindh is not the front being attacked due to unparalleled refugee penetration into Sindh but resources are also bearing unprecedented pressure along with political issues, ethnic polarization, drug trafficking and many other problems which Sindh is not in any position to bear. Instead of picking pitfalls from this operation, one must offer cogent recommendations to make it more effective and systematic to help ensure Afghans' repatriation back to their homeland.

It's quite funny that the province with the least amount afghan refugees of about 5 percent is moaning about it the most. Those 5 percent mostly residing in Karachi could hardly pose any threat to this fragile sindhi culture you people are so worried about. That said, Taimoor has rightly suggested this repatriation effort should not be hasty but instead should take place gradually over the course of 1 to 2 years. This sudden crackdown goes against the International Law on refugees. Repatriation programme is not something peculiar to Pakistan only, the rest of civilized world too deals with sending refugees home however done through the proper channels of UNHCR and ensuring refugee rights aren't violated. I do however understand the frustration people are going through, its that scapegoating these refugees for the problems created by the government and the gross mismanagement of law and order by these people in power won't do us any good.

@@SaeedKhan-pm7jn bro reread my opinion. You can criticise govt. for mismanaging the issues. But you cannot question the fact that issues per se exist and pose challenges to the locals. For that matter it is quite sensible to correct things. I also have indicated that the repatriation should be safe, systematic and humane. Moreover, we cannot keep harping on less number or more number of refugees in a certain area. But we must accept the ground realities that given our own pitying economic situation we cannot afford adjusting and accepting people from around the world. The the demand for the safe repatriation of the refugees should in no way carry a negative connotation, i think.

i agree with your comments on risks attached with migration in a very short period. This may be as bad as Pakistan-India partition. Pakistan Govts decision sounds very inexperiences. I twll you in Singapore few year ago smoking hookah (sheesha) became popular. Govt. quickly took note of health issues and ordered ban on import of materials and gave business three year to deplete stocks and stop such business in restaurents etc. Transition went so smooth that now we don't see sheesha in any restaurents. For such small issue Singapore Govt gave three year and Pakistan Govt. wants to change 1.7 mn people's lige 8n less than a month. Totally unqualified people to administer such a big project.

On the issue of geopolitics with Afghanistan & neighbors in general, Pakistani diplomacy is based on hypocrisy, deception & American intimidation. In case of American influence, Pakistan signed Iran Pakistan Gas Pipeline (IPGAP) to handle energy crisis in cost effective manner. However, the deal was abandoned due to fear of American wrath & Pakistan has to pay hefty penalty. Same goes for Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan & India (TAPI). Due to these political blunders, Pakistan has to import expensive LNG from Qatar with LNG terminals bearing the extra cost. In matter of Russian oil, it was propaganda, orchestrated by media pimp, at the behest of Bajra, that Imran Khan is taking irrational decision because Pakistani refineries can't process Russia crude due to design conditions, which was false in first place & if even that was the case there is a concept of complex refinery where new technologies are added. However as soon as IK was ousted & Hafiz Halwa took over, Russian crude was ok because Hafiz Sb might have fell on Biden's knees to approve it. Nonetheless, the deal was struck. Regarding Pakistani diplomacy on both sides of the border, it is a classic case of hypocrisy & xenophobia. With India Pakistan plays the religion card and with Afghanistan & Iran it plays the nationalism card while calling itself so called Islamic republic. Hafiz & his cohorts are no different than Egypt' Sisi Iblissi who use Palestinians as bargaining chip with Israel here the Afghans in Pakistan are used as such. First use them to grab dollars under the garb of Islamic fraternity & when dollars are out of the question, keep morality in the backyard and kick them out as alien Afghans to their already war torn country on the mercy of militants, hunger, disease just because a nut head generals says so. Why meddle in the affairs of country in first place, when you cannot take on the responsibility of the refugees.
