Wal-Mart marine deep cycle. Replace them every two to three years for $400. People with older carts can't justify (afford) spending $2-3000.00 on batteries when the cart only worth that much to begin with. If you play a lot of golf get the lithiums but for running around our RV resort the WM will do us just fine.

He made a comment that Lithium batteries are always set up in Parallel and not Series. That is inaccurate. These batteries are already 48v so parallel makes sense. If you have 4 -12v lithium then you set it in series to create the 48v bank you need

Wish they had these trojan lithium batteries available in a 72v option also. I have the navitas ac 5kw conversion on my precedent and Would love to see a video of what kind of power increase these give over lead acid. Im Leaning more towards a 72v lithium set up for the big increase in power over 48v though.

Trojan was ok for lead acid batteries. They only last 4-5 years though. Right now out there in the lithium battery world I've done a lot of research, Q&A as well and what I've come up with is that the " Epoch" 36 volt battery is the choice I would go with for a 36 Volt EZGO golf Cart. They have customer service who you can actually talk to, a ten year warranty and 36 Volt battery that you can purchase for around $1,600.00 or so. Also the weight savings of 65 Lbs X 6 Trojan batteries compared to the Epoch is huge. It can also be purchased with the onboard heating function so it can be charged in cold climates and has a on & off button which you can choose to use or not use and is also blue tooth compatible. That's just my own personal observation after studying many many different lithium batteries, their companies and warranties as well as what's really inside including the BMS.

Yeah I went with Epoch 3 battery system for my CC precedent. It's been great

I'm trying to figure out how to make it fit on my 1992 ezgo marathon cart. It's going to be a challenge because of the battery layout and the controller being in the middle of the three batteries under the seat.

Still disappointed that such a well known, and previously trusted, lead acid battery manufacturer went down the path of specifying their LiFePO4 batteries down to 70% original capacity as end of life when the industry standard is 80%. It is done purely as a marketing exercise to inflate the cycle life count of the batteries. I'm not saying they are junk batteries, just that the figures are not to be trusted when comparing against other reputable battery manufacturers.

Great insight! Thankfully we have had good feedback from customers who have bought Trojan lithium batteries. Like you said, there are a number of reputable lithium battery options that put out a great product. With their established presence in the battery sector, Trojan has proven to stand behind their product should any trouble arise. We have seen and heard horror stories of some of these other pop up lithium battery providers who will not do that.

@retrozmachine1189 You should also look up the significant differences in Lithium-Ion chemistry vs LiFePo4 chemistry, they are NOT the same at all!!
