Not a bad start to the season Trojs . Rebecca seams to be stocking up well with her crabs and those mackerel look nice . Catch you again 😅😅

The spider crab have been huge this year and really good condition. Now we just need the mackerel to show. A few odd ones about but no serious shoals yet

Rebecca is going to be a good choice for the local ladies tug of war team with all that hard work she does 😀

Every one I watch on fishing channel are great for checking size of lobbster. It is the fisherman who takes care of the sea

If some fishermen are so desperate they need to take undersize lobster its time they did something else. :)

Another good trip out, thanks Troy & Rebecca! I was chuckling to see your new Bow Mascot has returned and struggling to balance on the Bow! Nice Lobsters and a good haul of Spiders = a happy Rebecca! Nice mackerel, Bass & Pollock too. a brace of butterflied seasoned Mackerel oven baked with Butter and home made Chips for tea here last night! 😋😋 What hook size are you using on your 'pipe' lures Troy? Need to make some more up. Stay safe & well, Dave. 🎣🎣👍👍

Always enjoy your fishing trips I know you must have a reason as to why you don't use end opening pots so much easier than scrambling around through the top opening good luck keep it up tight lines .
@Trojwaterman2 ай бұрын
It adds significant time and cost to the build of the pot. We do have some with doors but most of the time we don't use them (as seen in tomorrows video). They would be useful at times however all pots have a string at the end that can be opened if necessary.

@@Trojwaterman many thanks for your reply I wasn't trying to dis you knowledge it just seems to be hard and strenuous reaching into the pots after all none of us Are getting younger good luck to you both .

Will you eat the wrasse Troy or is it pot bait .
@Trojwaterman7 ай бұрын
The large one went to a friend who eats them. We kept the smaller one for lobster bait. So far the return is 4 lobsters and its still in the pots.

@@Trojwaterman Another enjoyable and successful trip. Are Wrasse good eating or an acquired taste, as they say?
@Trojwaterman7 ай бұрын
They taste good. Filleted skinned or scaled put under a grill with some butter and herbs.

Put the wrasse back surely? Beautiful Ballons yer gonna use for a pot !????
@Trojwaterman7 ай бұрын
One was eaten one was used for bait and has caught 4 lobster so far. Wrasse is not fished for commercially here so it is one of our most common fish. We do return many but also take some from time to time. Plus they would mot have survived the pressure from that depth
