Trolleybuses in San Francisco Flyer E800

Between 1975 and 1977, 343 Flyer E800 trolleybuses were put in service in San Francisco. Under sometimes harsh circumstances (poor maintenance) the last buses survived with SF MUNI until 2005, almost 30 years old!!!

The XT40 Xcelsior trolley buses New Flyer churned out are essentially the successors to the E800.

They are. Built by the same company as Flyer didn't become New Flyer until the late 80s after Jan Den Oudsten took it over.
