Trolling Kokanee Salmon

I hit Flaming Gorge March 18th 2024 for some Kokanee Salmon. I was hoping to have more film time to put this together better but the Kokanee were on fire today. Our Spinnin' Tornado, Dakota Spinners, and Sun Jelly Dodgers did what they needed too.

looks like fun, I need to get some of those spinners. Question..on your downriggers... do they run on your trolling motor or cranking battery? Or do they have their own battery? Im looking at adding a downrigger to my pontoon this spring.

They run on my cranking battery. My trolling motor batteries are just for the troller.

No, I run 3 electric downriggers and a fish finder off the main battery. The main motor does charge the battery when your running the big motor.

Do you think there will be any regulation changes for the Kokanee this year at the Gorge?

I don't know about this year specifically, but I am hearing rumors possibly in the fall. I am guessing they would go into effect for 2025. But I have heard nothing concrete.

You keep saying we can find your stuff at sportsmans warehouse but I have gone in there time after time looking for the item you said (Riverdale) and they have yet to have it. I have looked for the lake trolls, the big bottom bouncing glow jig (I cant remember the name), and 2 or 3 other things. You need to smack the hell out of that place because that is usually the only reason I go there!

They don't carry the lake trolls, but I do know the have these new spinners and the 6.5" Mega Tubes
