Two thumbs up...non over fancy design, just good and practical.. Thanks Brian.

Wow! Have you thought about dual sticks? One for fwd, one for reverse, fighter jet style?

I like the simplicity of the design. It looks like you made sure the contacts line up without arcing between positions. Excellent job on reverse without the typical rocker switch.

Luckily the positive ones can arc without causing disaster so it was just a matter of getting the dang negative to be far enough away but still work.. kinda fun! Hopefully works long term ish lol

It's not a bad idea! But still, using a simple PWM controller is more optimal! Otherwise, there is no smooth transition in speed, but in jumps:(

Идея не плохая! Но Все же использовать простой ШИМ регулятор более оптимально! В ином другом случае нет плавного перехода по скорости, а скачками:(

The other option is some nice 3d printer throttles ;-) Did those work ok in the end? Happy to help with some programming etc if you want to use the motor driver and an Arduino?

If only I had a friend with a 3d printer... hahaha I toasted one by hooking it up reversed but fixed it I think.. I'll dig them out and test! Stay tuned buddy!

They did work but one died on the lake (the one I 'fixed' and I put emergency on/off/on switch. I felt like maybe they got hot
