The moment you die, you are no longer the same character, they cannot arrest you for something you did in your past life lol I doubt this idiot admin would've done his job properly even if you cleared that up, but it's particularly funny that 7 people with no inkling on how to roleplay all broke NLR and you got punished for disconnecting when that was perfectly justified

@@Layheeee Then it's a failure, like any of those DarkRP schema excuses for roleplay servers. In the first place, being able to kill someone this easily is evidence that the server is not actually a roleplay server, and the microphones betray that fact also. You are playing a character. You do not break the "IC is IC" rule even if the person is acting like a minge, their character is the one doing stuff, not the player. If NLR is not a thing, you're not doing roleplay.

@@Chiptune7 NLR is a thing on the server it just doesn’t work how it works in darkRP, most serious RP servers have a similar NLR rules to this one. Clearly you need to read the rules or play to understand, but it’s been played out like this for most serious rp servers for ever

@@Layheeee I've been roleplaying on serious roleplay servers (that do not use a microphone for the sake of immersion) for over 15 years now. No, DarkRP servers are the ones not understanding how NLR works. New Life Rule is a special circumstance in which, rarely, when you die, you will be allowed to keep your current character but they will, for all intents and purposes, lose every memory regarding the events related to their death. It has nothing to do with going back to a zone where you died, that was popularized by DarkRP servers. If his character had died from a bug or from an OOC mistake (such as falling from a roof or getting ran over by a car) NLR would not apply. But he was shot. This means that, ICly, a character shot another character and killed him. If he is not PK'd, then NLR applies and the character cannot be held accountable for what got him shot in the first place. This is the same anywhere. NLR is universal. So is "IC is IC". If you do not do this properly, you do not have a proper roleplaying server, which are most servers sadly, and is the entire reason most people have a negative opinion of RP in the first place.

@@Chiptune7 your reiteration of the rule is correct but your interpretation isn’t, at least for Prometheus. The person that had died is the only player that experienced the NLR rule, therefor the players that shot him will still remember the entire interaction that lead to them being shot and sent to the hospital, if they hadn’t died. So say for example the police are arresting someone they know to be a criminal for whatever reason and they shoot and kill him by accident trying to impede his escape, if the kill was valid the killed player wouldn’t remember the 15 minutes leading up to their hospitalization, but the police members that shot and killed him still remember the interaction and remember him. Hopefully that makes sense to you.
