Ian’s rendition is by far the most musical I’ve heard. He includes a healthy amount of rubato/playing behind the beat which really gives it character, and the unwritten crescendo down to the C at the end is very tasteful, and I’ve never heard another player do that.

This specific performance is not very good. He is often late and does not play accent as were written. Especially volumes form 0:10 to 0:20 are completly out

Trombone solo is my favourite part of entire Bolero. You can hear full potential and colorful sound of full spectrum, from sweet melodic highs, trong middle and terrifying basses. Good vibes in ears.

@@maggoteater2290 yeeee braces aren't a handicap... I was playing lead on everything in high school when I had them on. And thankfully my director let me stay on the parts after I got them taken off
@JogaKata
@JogaKata 2 жыл бұрын
@@slClaw the problem is because of the braces my teeth are loose and when i put to high pressure to them by playing trombone to high they bend and the braces fall of. So i will practically have to wait until my braces are gone until i can play higher.

@@JogaKata don't worry, I had to play with braces at some point too. It's not great but you'll get through it and your range will likely shoot up once you get them off

As a trombonist when I play bolero it is just way too hard playing that C# and it's kind of just a hard song overall but his gliss and notes are just brilliant and not being red is also incredible
