beautiful love this guy! also mentioning the octave trigger haha I find the normal tenor easier to play on for jazz solo type playing as I usually play bassbone and it really limits your play I don't know if it's the trigger or what but the tenor just feels so much lighter and easier to flow through solos idk just my two sense maybe there's something to it haha.

Yeah he's basically slurring across a high b flat in 1st , 3rd, 5th, and sharp 7th

The tone is superb. but i have a question. How do you get the water into the glass without inhaling it?

Tommy Turk! Americas best kept secret! Other than a few JATP and Bird records, there is nothing out there. He was incredible.

I have a seriously rare live recording it’s insane of him doing 2 sets at a restaurant in vegas . I’ll try to dig it up

@@PaulTheTrombonist i've heard about that one,but I've never seen a copy. Tragic way he died. I love your video series by the way. Having lived in Boston in the 70s and 80s I saw Phil Wilson on numerous occaisions and was always amazed at what he could get the Trombone to do.Thanks for what you do.
