It was because of your 2022 build that I was able to assemble my first drone, explained clearly, thank you. I only have one recommendation to replace this frame. The TBS Source one looks a budget frame at beginning, but it doesn't come with any TPU, you're stuck with the antennas hanging down, I lost 2 antennas because of this, the frame is also not compatible with HD, without adding other TPU parts, and each of this pieces costs around $10, in the end this frame is more expensive than a HLGRC for example or a SpeedyBee master v2. But the quality is good, it can withstand a lot of beating, especially the v3.

So many things to setup do , from frames , motors , control boards, ESC, wires and software updates and setup parms . This is the first video I have found that hits most of the above components, though it would be nice to get into why components are picked , I do understand that it would effect the size of the video. But the rest was great for me , this video was a good road map to doing it . Thanks for this DIY video , it has help so much .

Just wanted to say thanks - I am an American living in Germany and used your video as a tutorial and had no issues getting my insurance, EID, etc. so now I am legal. I will say my experience with the law and drones so far in Germany is positive - I was only approached by the Polizei once (before I was legal) and they were very cool and didn’t make a big deal about it. I hope it stays that way - Germany is a fantastic country for the photography and cinematic side of drones and I hope people fly responsibly and keep it that way.

The one suggested by TRONCAT FPV and mine can produce only 300 mw while to have a good signal at a serious distance your transmitter should produce at least 600 mw or better 1000 mw. In any case, the one I bought and used in my build is this: Happymodel Fyujon V2.0 2IN1 AIO module built in ELRS 2.4GHz EP receiver and OpenVTX I ended up returning the separate receiver because this combined one has exactly the same parameters, the same chips and the same external antenna for the receiver and the same VTX antenna.

Just got done building a drone based off this. Not at all budget because I went with an O3 setup. Thank you again for making such a helpful and easy to follow tutorial. I wound up needing to relocate the capacitor because of course the VTX for the O3 is much larger, so I wired that then placed it at the front. Everything else was fairly easy, and of course the O3 was plug and play effectively. One question if you have time please. I set DSHOT to 600 as you indicate, but after saving out it keeps on moving back to 300. No idea if this is a bug or maybe 600 isn't actually compatible and I didn't see it in your video so it goes back to 300? Again, loved this video, and love your channel. Thank you. I gotta get a couple of TPU parts for this baby to keep the antenna secure, then it will be time for a flight test!

Thanks for the great video and a question - I noticed that your final drone at 50:06 has propellers 1 and 2 set up counter-clockwise, while in the video you were saying that they should be turning clock-wise. I finished my build, following your directions 44:49, I clicked "Reverse". What is confusing is that after you click "Reverse" the direction on the chart in Betaflight Configurator is reversed and it is showing the opposite to what the motor is actually doing. My motors are spinning the same way as in the video tutorial 44:34 (not at the very end with props), I have not flown it yet and I am concerned that there was something that you did between the 44:49 point in the video and actually flying - like changing the settings for motor direction, and didn't include in the video. Please help. Thank you!

I just ended up manually reversing the direction of each motor via SpeedyBee app via bluetooth, and my propellers work the same way as Troncat's drone looks at the very end of the video.

Do you have an estimated range for this by chance? (How far away the drone can be from the controller). Would there be a way to upgrade this simply with swapping some of the parts?
@TheTortuga588 ай бұрын
Range varies by what you deem acceptable. Most of the time, your video feed will become "unacceptable" before your controller stops talking to the drone successfully. You can up your video strength with better antennas and running the VTX at a higher power. Sorry no numerical answer. If you want a guess as to how far the actual controller would maintain connection, maybe a mile. But like I said, your video feed (lack thereof) would likely stop you from ever getting that far.

Hi, I have a DJI avata and recently put together a Pavo20 with a DJI O3 Unit and I'm getting exited to put together a bigger DYI FVP drone and would like to use the DJI O3 unit I have for the Pavo20 on this built, so witch parts I don't need to buy for building this one... I really like how you explain clearly everything on your video and I did not find the option on the video for replacing the VTX unit for another one.. I will prefer to use digital instead of analog... Thanks in advance for your advice. ☕☕👍

Are the Cetus X goggles and controller compatible with this?

What would the top speed on this drone be ?

Only thing I would want is shields around the blades, for MTB filming in the woods. Can't seem to find the Happymodel OVX303 25-300mw anywhere. What else can I use? Likewise, the Foxeer Razer Micro 1200tvl 4:3 camera is also out of stock. Ideally would like to get both parts through GetFPV

when building a PC, I often find cable management the most fun part. this looks supper therapeutic and almost want to make drones just to make em rather than fly them

i'm brand spankin' new to FPV. I recently got a DJI Avata to introduce me into the FPV world and currently looking around for really simple, budget friendly ways to build my first FPV. I appreciate the step by step process you made! Would you say this is a more beginner friendly drone to build as a first drone coming from someone that has no experience? Or are most builds generally the same process?

this is really great video, but I have some qustions... what happens if you mix the cables from the motors to the ESC? like can i just put the cable number 1 to the pad number 2 or 3? or it can only be in the pad 1. and one more question.... you didnt get any cables for the video transmitor right? you can just use any cables that you got from the previous parts?

This video is super helpful! I’m hoping to get into FPV pretty soon, and I think this is the build I’m going to go with. I have one question though, would there be any issues with mounting a full size GOPRO hero 11? I see you’re using the smaller model, but I only have the full size model. Thanks! :)

Hey how much does this weigh? My country has a limit on weight. Max is 250grams
@rebeli738 ай бұрын
Every country should allow heavier, but you may have yo register those drones and/or do some sort of online pilot test.

I'm very curious about a supercompasseter which has a ten+ second discharge because it also acts as a battery, versus the capacitor you're using now with a one second discharge... Would the time flight be longer?

Just ordered everything and I cant wait to get into this hobby. I ended up going with an Ethix Mambo and I noticed you had an extender. I may want to get one of those at some point. Could you provide a link to yours? Thank You!

I am very new to racing drones. I have been flying 3D helis for years. I picked up a Tiny Hawk 2 Freestyle and had a blast flying it but when I went to try to upgrade it to a Spektrum receiver I hosed it. I can not use the RTF transmitter I hate it, other then that the drone was a great beginner step for me I think? I would love to build something like this and BTW your vid is amazing. Would this be a good step for me? Can I make my NX8 work with this? I already have the 5.8ghz setup that came with my Tiny Hawk, I also have a 5.8ghz screen that I can use to record. I would love to keep using this decent starter equipment.

plane pilot here: I was looking to get into freestyle fpv and just use the ix12 I already have but discovered that spektrum is outdated for fpv and thus it is strongly encouraged to go with elrs or crossfire, but if you would still like to use your NX8 you can get a tbs crossfire and hook it up to your transmitter (a pricy option at about $150-200) or you could get a radiomaster pocket elrs or if you prefer box radios like your nx8 you could go with a radiomaster boxer elrs,tx16s or a tx12. hope this helped

Such an amazing and informative video. made me go back to drone stuff. I am planning to by almost the same kit which is being offered online in Europe, except the motors are different. I have a Graupner MX-16 and a Flysky fs i6s transmitter, I am wondering if its possible to connect those to the FC. I would appreciate a guidance.
