Back in 1991, the Trooping the Colour BBC coverage was a perfect 90 minute live presentation from 10.40am until near 12.12pm. Now we have a drawn out 10.30am - 1pm presentation filled with so much padding and filler.

It's all the more poignant with the death of our beloved Queen, long live the King. I was Scots guards and only did one 1987 the rest of my service in Germany and Northern Ireland, always watch the troop every year though.

Simply glorious. I wish I could watch this in person but with the way things are going with me, highly unlikely. One thing that irks me is the rifle. It simply doesn't look "right" in a parade.

Lol, I know I can download it here now I’ve looked about, my brain is fried with age 😂. I was wondering if there was a dvd quality version about, I don’t recall it ever being made for dvd. I’ve never actually seen this footage before, yet I was a welsh guard in it that day & I found a great clear shot of me on it. Well happy thank you 😊 brought Back good memories.
