So it looks a little funny but hanging a quart or gallon sized ziplock bag 2/3 full with water with a brand new shiny penny dropped in the bottom of the bag helps keep the flies away for some reason. You hang them up high around the area you want to keep them away and also above doorways works well to keep them out
@aquaman4612 жыл бұрын
@@jordanhair6200 I heard if you put a small sheet of aluminum foil in a zip lock with water it mimics a spiders web which deters flies. Unproven but thought I'd share. I personally use fans

My grandfather lived in Key West for over 60 years. He used to tell me how he would go exploring the mangroves on his little skiff and would find hidden ways into them. He said that there were times that they would lead to openings where there would be deeper pools where you could catch, or spear, nice groupers and snappers. I'm happy to finally see it happen. Thank you.

Good stuff, 1990's I snorkeled the mangroves in Cuba, while sailing from Havana to Maria Gorda, water was crystal clear, no one, no buildings in sight. Born, raised in Sarasota, Fl, Cracker, been going to the Keys since 1970. Mad respect for your skills, and your respect for the critters you harvest. So good you are schooling new little gromets as we used to call them, to respect the water and things that swim below. Cheers, P.S. Hey Aaron, been watching your videos for a while it’s part of our pre-bedtime routine with my 3 year old daughter. She asks to watch the fishing man 😂 I spear fish on scuba which I know is often looked down upon by purists and/or free divers, but it takes me a while to equalize my ears due to a previous ear injury so free diving is out for me. My dives generally last 30 min to an hour depending on depth, but I find that my hero 10 black overheats after only 20 minutes or so. What resolution, frame rate, etc do you use? Thanks!

About the flys, best things to do is building a trap. Keep a plastic bottle, cut at 1/3 from the top, back flip the top and put it in the bottom (use rope or glue to make sure it stay that way), fill the bottom with water + sugar + raw meat, make a few of that, and that's it (sorry if not spelled properly, as i am french).

Hey, Dibs!! 2 ideas: 1 put white vinegar in an open container, like a margarita glass. And then set it close to where you're sitting flies don't like the vinegar.
