I've always wondered how the trophy truck suspension works, especially the rear, so I can build it in different games. This video helps a lot, thank you.

After a week messing around, and seeing it's very hard to improve a trophy truck setup more than what you actually did in this tutorial, I started making variations of the front suspension, and I can say that it's great for 8x8 or 10x10 vehicles. It's not just great; it's like the smoothest thing I’ve seen. Of course, it’s not intended for a very fast vehicle, but for a powerful all-terrain purpose. It literally eats barrels like nothing (i´m using monster wheels so basically everything the same diameter or less its butter). Thanks for sharing this awesome and inspiring build and all the knowledge you put into it.

This is frickin awesome, I was trying to do a similar design of my own but I thought that the control arm would interfere with the hinges movement. You should try to build a I beam truck next that is my ultimate final boss of trying to get the suspension working correctly.
@EnderSackboy2 ай бұрын
I had tried building this kind of suspension before but I was using heli engines for the tilting just like those yellow hinges. It worked but was no where near as smooth as your's. Well done on getting all the arms to move together without any collision issues.

I had fun building this tutorial, i honestly never knew how this was possible and i'm happy you did an actual tutorial instead of just saying " you can download a base of the suspension in the workshop " because you learn from the tutorial but you don't from just downloading it I also had to fix the rear being loose but i read your comment and fixed it, but i still got this one question: Where am i supposed to start building the 'car' from? i see no-where to start building without messing up the suspensions
@wesleyhsu58283 ай бұрын
There shouldn't be any issues with the cockpit. As for the hood, I built it as an "open hood" first and then closed it to avoid direct contact with the front suspension.

Is it possible to replace some of the hinges in the rear suspension with trailer hinges or are they there to make sure the suspension doesn’t travel too far in any direction?

How did you get the front tires so firm and straight. Mine are very wobely and if i take a turn too sharp it bends underneath my car. If i put the strength of the hinges higher the wheels are too firm and won't turn with the suspention. Anny tips?

if i was wanting to go for a 6x6 style what would be my best option for the middle axle or would copying the front to the middle with slight tuning be good enough? So I’ve made my own copy of this. Followed the tutorial perfectly and it feels good. However where the rear centre linkage connects to the rear axle I’m have a problem with the linkage being floppy from side to side.. I’m not sure if this is because I’m on Xbox so I can’t get the values for the pistons to be perfect or if I’m missing something.. any advice would be great! I notice in the video around 5 minutes in the little cut scene of the rear suspension in action shows yours to be fairly stiff there.. mine wants to flip flop on the centre hinge
