Glad to hear you recover from it. My Dad died from it vacationing PI on his birthday. Sent him to the finest hospital in Manila and did'nt realize it was dengue after a week and it was to late. Sad. Always be safe and a Happy 2024 to ya'll!

I had dengue in Cambodia several years ago. I tried to hydrate myself and get over it. I eventually had to go to the hospital for a couple of days. It was a horrible experience.

Glad to see that you're feeling better! I totally empathize; I just had a brutal food poisoning for 8 days at the end of my stay in the Philippines, with severe whole-night diarrheas - couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. And then when I traveled back I got covid, with almost 40 degrees fever.

I'm glad you are feeling better Matt. That fever sounds horrible. I like the spot where you guys were sitting. I usually walk down to that end because the sand is softer and usually there are no people snorkeling at that end of the reef.

There's been a dengue plague in the entire Philippines the last few weeks i think.. some of my filipino friends also got Dengue since Christmas at the same time.. must be lots of mosquitos which carried Dengue this season..

You should keep your body hot. That’s your body fighting infection. When you reduce the temp it takes longer to fight infection
