This video is perfect! :3 And a quick note, Philodendron 69686 is actually a botanical ID (so scientists can link this undescribed species to the Missouri Botanical Garden files). Its taxonomical ID would be Philodendron sp. Brasil, as that is its main country of distribution and where it was first collected. ;)

Depends on the alocasia and also I caution against sudden changes. Because if your plant had adapted to whatever it is in, they may find it too stressful to change to a new mix also it is a mix that is prescribed for alcoasia. Pls consider also your environment...humidity. So the ones I use now is mix of pine bark, charcoal bits, pumice and bit of cocopeat or coco husk. All pretty chunky media.

Is the pafcal and pumice mix essentially a semi hydroponic mix?

I consider it semi hydroponic if you keep a tray of water at the bottom or if your container has no holes. For my aroids I don't do this...I let it drain freely with the use of pafcal and pumice. I only do hydroponic with pafcal+pumice/perlite when I am trying to root a (dying) plant that has zero and very limited roots.

I am still experimenting frankly! Osmocote, and some foliar spray. Find liquid fertvto spray on your leafs!
