Most of our bait shops are owned by Vietnamese families and they just deal with it like it's nothing. They all chip in and take care of whatever needs to be done whether it's their business or not. I think four of the five bait shops in Rockport are owned by Vietnamese families.

Great video report Dennis! I'm truly shocked at the sea levels, that they're not receding after the storm has passed. Must be wind-driven rise in the open Gulf, migrating into the bay. That is absolutely wild stuff right there.

Good morning friend. I always look at the boat lines when there's events like this. I believe just a couple of good intending people went from boat to boat and adjusted the lines as needed. If the water rises too high, the lines get too tight and they could snap and as the water, lowers too much slack could have been bumping into the bulkhead and doing damage. If someone doesn't have something, they'll send you down to one of the other shops to get it. If someone needs bait. They'll get it from one of the other shops. I'm not sure why we need four or five bait stands in a row, but they all seem to make a living from it.

Hello friend. Things look a lot better today. The beach is close for the third day in a row, but almost all of the water is gone from the downtown area. A few days of sunshine and a breeze will take care of a lot of the problems.

We were at a house near beach access rd 1a. But we were behind the dunes. Monday to yesterday. Windy all week. Interesting but scary weather for a West Texas person, especially Wednesday night. Heavy rain on the way out about 9:45am especially at Corpus Christi. Ran out of it on I37 north about 20-30 miles. Then off and on light rain all the way home (South of Lubbock). That storm was massive in reach! I’ve seen thunderstorms over 50 miles in diameter but this storm was several hundred miles in coverage! We will be praying for y’all!

Good afternoon! It looks so crazy with the boats and the bait shop like there’s no road or docks between them. The great tornado that attacked patio furniture cushions 😂 but that one house with the flipped shed and mangled carport was pretty scary. I’m just amazed at how high the surge was/is. Pretty sure those folks working on the water are prepared for that to happen now and then. the West End of Galveston Island looks the same, Surfside, Blue Water Hwy, all of that area all dealing with the onshore winds pushing all that water in.
