Unusual? Hurricane season starts June 1.
@shantel9392Күн бұрын
We're thought that the hurricane season would begin June and end in November. This doesn't seem unusual at all we probably never had a storm this early, but we all know it's possible.

Checked the National Hurricane Center website; Beryl, as of the 5 AM advisory, has winds of 100 mph, making this a Category 2 hurricane, but it is expected to strengthen more, likely becoming the first early major hurricane since Dennis and Emily in 2005; not good news for the Caribbean and the Yucatan Peninsula

It may seem minor, but consider the trajectory. If it reaches a Category 3 or 4, it could devastate the Caribbean. God forbid if it reaches a Category 5. If it remains over water and moves slowly, it could have catastrophic consequences. This scenario has even haunted my nightmares.

It’s mighty ironic the storms form off the coast of Africa and through the Transatlantic slave trade!!! Think about it.
