@@alexnowicki286 Florida is basically a swamp surrounded by ocean and has a long long history of horrible weather and yet people began to flock there with the advent of air conditioning. They developed the state with total disregard to the environmental realities and as a state support politicians that deny basic science with a level of insouciance that is remarkable. The people who migrated there did so of their own accord and the state as a whole permitted this level of development so they have to take responsibility for their shortsightedness, they have to realize that there is a limit to bailouts.

There are friends of mind that live in Middleburg, Jacksonville, Orange Park, and Green Cove springs, Florida, and they got wounded by rain from Hurricane Debby. They are alright. Thank God. But the Florida panhandle has been pounded and lots of flooding. My prayers to those affected and may they be safe.🙏❤️

@davidmccarthy6061 never owned a home, huh buddy? For starters, the bank won't loan you the money for a home without flood, wind, and homeowners insurance. Secondly, FEMA's top payout, and this is only to non insured individuals, is $19,000. I know because my area was wrecked by a storm a few yrs ago. You think 19,000 is rebuilding anything? Truth is, I was fully insured and had to fight to get costs covered. Grow up, son.

It's cute when people try to take one data set from one city to disprove all of climate science. The earth is warming. It affects different areas in different ways. California is getting hit harder with more severe and prolonged wildfires as well as devastating atmospheric rivers. Other areas are seeing historic heat waves. Other areas are seeing worsening trends with hurricanes. Still believe your one data set tells the whole story? Well, you can't fix stupid.
