It was absolutely awful here in NJ yesterday courtesy of Nicole - the only upside is she sucked up some warm air so the temp was a very odd 70 today and 71 tomorrow. Of course the bottom falls out on Sunday when the wrap around means air sucked from Canada and our high is 50

Epic video! Back to northern ops and I believe it’s the wind. I like northern ops better than southern. New flights to SRQ including Denver, Kansas, and much more. It’s mainly Southwest bringing in the new flights to SRQ. The rain and wind doesn’t stop you and didn’t stop me lol. I heard they closed the ATC at TPA due to the wind. Then I saw runway 28 being used by a lot of flights. Many flights couldn’t land especially at TPA, so they went into a holding pattern, diverted, or when around back to land again.

Took off the night before (9:45) as the rain started on a fully packed SW 737. Rare for a night flight there. Winds were bad, bumpy takeoff. Landed at Midway in more high winds, wobbling back & forth the last 1/2 mile. Came in hot, really jammed the brakes & thrust reversers. Tiny runways.

Surprised you did not get us we worked and did two aircraft a PHI 757 and SDF 767 the SDF MD 11 tried to land did a long final all the way to SRQ and pulled up at the last minute and did it again then climbed up to 10,00 and gave up as did 757 from DFW that diverted in route to the Carolina's. But we off loaded the two aircraft and loaded one all in this storm and sent it out. Did not get out until 2:00pm.
