Won't miss the Trop of the last 15 years, will miss what the Trop was and represented for Vegas back in the 70's through late 90's...my Uncle was a floor boss then and my first experiences with Vegas Casinos was there, saw the Folies Bergere review in 78 and experienced what made the city's soul them. Great memories CYA Tropicana

The As have problems with attendance because they have the WORST stadium in MLB…and lousy Oakland will not build a new stadium. Many fans of other teams will come to Vegas to see their home teams…I will! This is 81 games as compared to the 8 games the raiders play a year. This stadium will bring MORE people to town than the raiders can in one year.

I enjoy visiting the Tropicana when we visit Vegas. It has many old games that I enjoy playing. Building a Baseball Stadium there I can only imagine the crazy traffic. Thanks for the video.

CYA TROPICANA! Hey Bror when you published that video of the glitchy machine that you won on at the Trop, I was leaving the next day with my sister to go to Vegas. We went and played that machine too and won on it!! Haven't been back since. Thanks for the farewell video!🎉😊

CYA Tropicana. Bror thank you for the update. I hope a stadium is not built there. That corner is already a traffic nightmare.

In the 40 years I have been visiting Las Vegas have had loyalty to several hotels. The Tropicana was first. I would just jump on an America West flight from Phoenix that was just long enough to have 2 free Crown & 7's then the shortest cab ride to The Trop with out reservations. Just showing up always garnered me a $33 room & resort fees had yet to be implemented in Vegas. I probably spent a hundred nights over 7 or 8 years under those mirrored bedroom ceilings and below the Tiffany glass canopy playing roulette. I had a couple epic wins there and the pool at the time was the best in Vegas. This strip sure was different back in the 80's and the grand evolution of Las Vegas is still in full swing. Speaking of swing even being born in Oakland and a huge baseball fan I welcome the A's moving to Vegas and could think of no better spot to put the ballpark. In Vegas all things change and Im getting used to it, as after The Trop I stayed at the Hard Rock about 10 years, then moved over to the Riviera for several amazing years of comps, after the Riv closed I started a grand love affair with The Mirage for well over a decade with wonderful comps and that fantastic swimming pool- we all know how that's going to work out - lol

Tropicana has no sentimental value to us. Never really liked the place. Not a friendly atmosphere. Stayed there once because we were given rooms there from the Polo Towers Time Share. As for the A’s coming to Vegas. I will believe it when the construction begins and all the contracts are signed. Not holding my breath. Thanks for the tour Bror. “CYA TROPICANA”

Ballys Corporation should build a new Mirage there after Hard Rock takes over the old property seeing that Ballys kept the name.

Sad for what it did represent, at one time. Now? Nothing they could do could make it worthwhile. Stadium site? It's horrible. What are they thinking? Probably the worst location, of several, to locate a stadium. The area by the Rio makes more sense. But when did anything that Vegas does make sense? ( F1 cough cough) The spin sucks. Pass a bag of money to the people in charge, " it makes sense"❤

I can't remember the last time I went to the Tropicana. I just remember I did the mob attraction and found it boring. For more public funds, when there's a will, there's a way. I would expect some type of tourism fee. It's CYATropicana . I know Salt Lake City is trying to get them to play in their new AAA ballpark until a stadium in Vegas is built.

Back around 1996 we stayed they and a woman kept coming in begging for money and they kept kicking her out and she kept back coming in. That turned me off. Never been back ther.

CYA Tropicana. When I was in there last year I asked a suit what happened to the 1957 Chevy that used to be out front. He said is that a need to know? I said the hell with it I'll go gamble elsewhere. You're right that whole bunch has a bad attitude

I don't remember if I have ever been to the Tropicana. I've always thought that the exterior looked rundown and uninviting. Hopefully they don't build a stadium there.

I like your analysis. Reminds me when the Oilers left Houston. The owner was asking for an additional $10M in revenue. Parking, Concessions, Sky boxes. The county balked and said no. A few years later, Houston builds a new stadium for $1B and pay a franchise fee of $1B for a new football team. How do you compare $10M to $2B? These team owners are in a different universe. Thanks Bror.
