Thank you for playing this and few tips which weren't mentioned yet: 1) Take some trade option it will make you more money - but it can affect your relationship with crown 2) Utilize trade more, build more docks - that is your main income3) I will destroy wharf and build oyster farms on spots with fish - in long term it will make you much more money and it is stable income + can be used for making jewelry in the future 4) Take a look at stats so you know what should you improve or on what you should focus 5) You don't have enough plantations, build several more of them and also different people 6) Always choose to prolong mandate or fresh colonist - you will suffer from lack of people in the future

@Keralis you should send your guys on important stuff, like the mines to discover the mineral and expand your production. You should not place a farm on orange grid, but on green to increase your production. Maybe check if you can grow tobacco and make cigars, it's worthy. Check if you can sign new trade deals with foreign countrys by clicking on the harbor.

1- you need to do the research 2- upgrade the budget in all buildings for maximum efficiency 3- build ranches and plantations as close as possible to trading port 4- you can change the plants and gardens by cycling through the choices 5- always take the mandate rewards 6- pause game when you are thinking or looking at the scenery as you like to do or you will keep losing money

Build cotton plantations (darker green areas are more productive) and cattle ranches across the road from these as you've sickle and cowboy research which means you can upgrade and use less workers

Hey Karalis, the reason the road is short is because the game has a limit on road length. But you can just click to build the road as it is and then add on to it.

*JUST A LITTLE TIP* Later on, when you will explore the land explore that land, what need to use (for example: building). Do not spend all the money for just useless exploring. Because later on, at Cold War (i think) you will unlock "Compass" research. That research will unlock the whole map. *ANOTHER TIP* Army buildings decrease liberty when close to other residental buildings. Do not build them close to residental buildings.

A few tips for anyone playing Tropico 5. You should concentrate on Cocoa Plantations in the Colonial era. They earn very good money, and if you get an Inventor, that's the best place to put one. Later on, Steel Mills and Vehicle Factories are the best way to earn money. Iron mines are worth using, but Coal mines are a waste of time - just import it because it's so cheap. Corn farms are also the best way to generate food for your people. Celebrity is one of the best Presidente types (if you have the DLC that allows it), but you should expand your family as quickly as possible because every family member gives you another manager who is normally useful.

you need to build extra Teamsters and construction offices spread around your city to speed up transportation of resources and building......and later on you will need to build garages so people have transport and somewhere to park.

Great sense of humor my friend. I just found this game myself and just getting used to it. Only problem is I end up getting banished or not winning for a second term so I endup having to restart from the beginning. Gets a little frustrating sometimes but is still so fun to play. Not like anything I've ever played before.

When you explore, send them on long runs, or you'll loose lots of money :)
