I don't get it. Keralis never uses the incredible amount of information and statistics available, never cares about the school system (bc. you need high school graduates for the most jobs and increasingly often university graduates), isn't much into checking trade routes, doesn't check about the demands of the different factions-- and is incredibly successful despite all of this....

Yeah that's purely cosmetic, the small black 'spills' in the ocean only point out locations for oil extraction. A real oil spill in-game will involve an overturned freighter and one big-ass brownish spill.
