Off topic , I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways?

If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.

Southwest winds aloft over the Gulf Coast. This will force the "recurvature" early, and keep it well east of Florida. The ONLY way to see a hurricane affect the southern tier states is to have DEEP easterly flow, in the vertical. /signed a former instructor of tropical meteorology

@@PLiTXAnimations I hate the mess the hurricanes bring. I'm still cleaning up the mess Beryl made in my yard. I'm north in Montgomery TX., by Conroe. A generator is a must. If you ever get one, get a "Liquid Cooled". They are very quiet. The air cooled, culp down oil and they sound like a Sherman Tank.

00:36 Sure, named storms. After doing a review of the past 30 years, myself, if you include tropical systems as a whole and named storms which occurred outside of Hurricane Season (Jun 1- Nov 30), such as 2016's January Hurricane Alex and 2017's April Tropical Storm Arlene, the 5th storm (named or unnamed) occurs on average in the first week of August. So, depending on what data you include and how you parse it, this season is actually running a bit behind schedule, regardless of the OMG Bro Epic Earliest Cat 5 Storm in Recorded History. Anomalies occur, hence the January and April Tropical systems I mentioned.

I'll believe it when I see it on the "turn" of this storm. I don't see anything on satellite view that's currently anywhere within several hundred miles of this storm that could pull it up and away. And it's barreling almost due west at 28-30mph.

This hurricane is going to hit the North East states hard, the hurricane before this one Debbie is going to get stronger and hit the North East state's, there's going to be 5 back to back in total.
