Massive DH fan here and a huge follower of the reggae scene for 20 years. I can admit that Tropidelic is a band I could never jump onboard with. Was put on notice after seeing the passionate fan base push 'Here In The Heights' into a contender for reggae album of the year. Took some time to spin the album but couldn't put that album on the same level as 'World On Fire', 'Ways Of The World' or 'Super Moon' IMO. Heard a few months ago Jared was working with Trop on a song and I was really interested what would come of that collaboration and here we are. I fuckin' love this song. It's been my most played song of 2020, hands down. The video comes out and I get a glimpse of what all you die hard Trop fans have been saying all along "have you seen them live?" 15 seconds of live footage snipped into this video has me convinced. I need to see them live. Long story short - DH brought me here, and I'm leaving a Tropidelic fan. I will see all you die hards at a live show in the future 🤙🏼

Seeing their choreography and whole performance truly is a new experience that compliments the music so well. As you could see in the clip snipped from one of their performances they like to bring out the drumline setup or even the tuba.

It's always cool to be humbled, ain't it? I can relate in that some bands I've just heard in the background somewhere don't really ring true with me until I listen to someone else talk about what makes them passionate about the tunes or lyrics, and then I spend time actually listening. Then maybe I come across something that makes me think "hey, they're actually singing something I just caught onto here..." Same thing with this band. And that's what the whole scene is about, in my opinion!
