Foolish politics starting with the " Sanctuary City " policies caused the unraveling of the progress the city had made in previous years .

As a child 149th street was my favorite place to go, my grandmother would take me to Fred Barnes and Fred Micheals, Sears, Alexander’s and then we would get a dirty frank, it’s nothing like it is now..

That's my spot. My Sister lived in Patterson Projects not far from there and we grew up in Webster Projects a little further up town. I haven't been that way since 1991. In some retrospect it look cleaner than I remember. On the other hand I'm a thousand percent happy I live down south. I'm 58 now and I don't think I will survive. I do miss the Puerto Rican music and people.

I live in the Bronx. Crazy how you look at remastered footage of the early 1900s and late 1800s and compare to now. Folks took care of the places that they lived way back then. Sad
